Novans ready for football playoffs

For Tolman, Woonsocket, and St. Raphael, the Division II’s ‘second season’ begins this weekend. For Burrillville and East Providence, their pursuit at a second season continues.
Five Blackstone Valley teams will try to extend their respective seasons past Thanksgiving this week when the Division II quarterfinal round takes place and the Division I and III regular seasons ramble down the home stretch.

Coia signs on with URI

PROVIDENCE — The gangly young girl who was taller than most of her teachers in eighth grade at North Smithfield Middle School signed a pretty important document on Wednesday morning.
Corinne Coia, now a 6-foot-4 senior at The Lincoln School, signed her letter of intent to attend the University of Rhode Island next year on a full basketball scholarship.

Dorothy A. Hull

CUMBERLAND - Dorothy A. (Wilson) Hull, 74, of New York Avenue died Sunday, November 7, 2010 while visiting in South Carolina. She was the wife of the late James G. Hull.
Born in Eastover, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Gary T. and Flossie Mae (Woodle) Wilson.
Mrs. Hull worked at the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville for many years before retiring.
