Muriel L. Boisvert
CUMBERLAND- Muriel L. Boisvert, 81, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2010. She was the wife of the late Roger Boisvert.
Born in St. Johns, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Aline (Brunet) Vadeboncoeur.
Mrs. Boisvert was a supervisor for the former Tupperware Company, North Smithfield, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of the Woonsocket Senior Center.

PAWTUCKET â âIt never gets old,â stated a clearly relieved Richard Lawrence moments after Mount St. Charles secured a spot in the Division I finals for the fourth consecutive season.
By no means was Thursdayâs 4-3 semifinal triumph over La Salle a walk in the (Slater) Park. With the Mounties, seeded third, and the No. 2 Rams tied at 3-3 and the chance to advance to the championship hanging in the balance, MSCâs fourth singles, senior Lauren Porcaro, defeated her opponent in three sets, a win that solidified the all-important fourth team point.
As he watched his team apply the finishing touches to consecutive Division II titles last June, Mount St. Charles head baseball coach Tom Seaver started to prepare for the impending direction the program figured to be heading in.
Based on the amount of success the Mounties had achieved during the now completed four-year alignment period, a bump up to Division I seemed certain.
The two championships stand out, but so too does the 62-10 regular season league record Seaverâs MSC squad has compiled.
NORTH SMITHFIELD â Town officials are scrambling to get the word out that if voters Tuesday approve local ballot question number five â whether or not the current elected town administrator should be changed to an appointed town manager â then the effective date of that change would be Dec. 1, 2012.
Due to what town officials are calling an oversight, the town manager versus town administrator question was submitted to the Secretary of State's office without listing an effective date. Therefore, there is no effective date listed on the ballot voters will see at the polls on Tuesday.

PROVIDENCE â As soon as Rep. Patrick Kennedy announced he would not seek re-election in the 1st Congressional District back in February, it was clear the race to succeed him would be one of the marquee races this year.
Sure enough, four Democrats battled in a primary to win that partyâs nomination and Providence Mayor David Cicilline bested a field that included former Democratic Party Chairman William Lynch, state Rep. David Segal and Lincoln businessman Anthony Gemma. Lynch, Segal and Gemma have now endorsed Cicilline.
William T. Egan
OKEECHOBEE, FL- William T. Egan, age 66, died suddenly at his residence in Okeechobee, FL on Sept. 18, 2010.
Born June 05, 1944 in Woonsocket, RI he lived in North Smithfield, RI until he moved to Key West, Fl in 1989.
He worked for the Key West Dept. of Transportation until retiring to Lake Okeechobee in November of 2009. William was a member of the Teamsters, Masonic Lodge, as well as an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Lucille G. Jodoin
CUMBERLAND- Lucille G. (Bolduc) Jodoin, 77, of Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center with family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 57 years of Roland E. Jodoin.
Born in Woonsocket on May 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Lindor and Emelia (Paquin) Bolduc.
WOONSOCKET â Bank of America has honored Connecting for Children and Families with a $200,000 grant to grow its network of support services for struggling families.
Terese Curtin, director of the Fairmount-based agency, was to receive the award today during a ceremony at the John Hope Settlement House in Providence, one of just two non-profits in the state to receive BofA's prestigious âNeighborhood Buildersâ Award.
âIt's just a tremendous opportunity for Woonsocket,â said Curtin. âIt allows us to strengthen the community and provide additional support for families who are in most need.â

Allen Minot-Tavares
BRISTOL- Allen Minot-Tavares, 45, passed away on October 20, 2010.
Son of Carol Ann Ramsay-Paul and the late Allen Minot.
He leaves 2 sisters Melissa Houle and Dawn Finlay of Woonsocket; 1 brother Raymond Renaud Jr. of Woonsocket. One son and a granddaughter.
Lisa M. Cummings
CUMBERLAND- Lisa M. Cummings, 45, of Crestwood Ct., died Sunday at home. She was the beloved wife of William Cummings.
Born in Woonsocket she was the loving daughter of Normand L. and Suzanne G. (Carpentier) Berard of Woonsocket. She resided in Cumberland for the past 17 years previously residing in Woonsocket.
Prior to her illness she was a registered pharmacist employed by Clinical IV, Pawtucket for 7 years.
She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, Class 1983 and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, School of Pharmacy, Class of 1988.
