North Smithfield hands Mt. Pleasant first loss, 14-12

NORTH SMITHFIELD – There are no more unbeaten teams left in Division IV. North Smithfield took care of the remaining one Friday night, handing Mt. Pleasant its first league loss in seven chances, 14-12.

WOONSOCKET – The first game was a nail-biter. The next two, weren’t even close.
Unbeaten Mount St. Charles Academy earned its 10th shutout of the season Friday night, defeating North Kingstown, 26-24, 25-9, 25-11, in a Division I quarterfinal match on its home court.
The victory by Mount, the top seed from the North, improves its overall record to 17-0 for the season and puts it just two more wins from its first team title in the state’s highest division.

BELLINGHAM- Jacqueline Emma (Robidoux) Pelletier, 66, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 unexpectedly at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond G. Pelletier.
Born in Bellingham on January 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cecile (Boisseau) Robidoux.
