PROVIDENCE â Waiting to compete in the high jump at Saturdayâs RIIL Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Mount St. Charles Academyâs versatile junior Ali Sayles nearly missed the finals of the 100-meter high hurdles.
Itâs a good thing she got there in time. A few minutes after hustling her way over to the starting line, Sayles was crowned an individual titlist.
âItâs just crazy,â she said. âI wasnât expecting it at all.â
