FOXBORO â Gerard Warren had an explicit instruction for his agent this offseason.
âI told him, âCall me after you talk to New England,ââ Warren said. âI donât want to burn any bridges, but thatâs pretty much what it boiled down to. I told him I wanted to come back to New England because I knew what the purpose was here.â
Patriots coach Bill Belichick announced on Monday that the team had re-signed Warren, a veteran defensive lineman who started 10 regular-season games for New England last season, registering 3.5 sacks.

Marie Z. Gawrada
WOONSOCKET- Marie Z. Gawrada, 88, of Church St., passed away at home.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Peter & Julia (Szczur) Gawrada. She resided in Woonsocket all her life. She attended Rhode Island College of Education, Providence College, and Brown University and taught in the city's public school system, primarily at Woonsocket Junior High School. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Raymond A. Lemoine
NO. SMITHFIELD- Raymond A. Lemoine, age 84 passed away on August 7, 2011 at home with his loving family at his side. He was a thirty year resident of No. Smithfield.
He was the eldest son of the late Woonsocket Patrolman Albert Lemoine, who died in the line of duty, and the late Aurore (Dussault) Lemoine.
Roger R. Martel
BLACKSTONE- Roger R. Martel, 73, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Kindred Hospital in Rochdale, MA with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude A. (Perusse) Martel.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on March 18, 1938, he was the son of the late Paul and Alice (Demers) Martel.
