Lincoln ices Cumberland in tourney finals

WARWICK -- Taylor Rego’s goal late in the second overtime period lifted Lincoln to a 3-2 victory over Cumberland in the Toll Gate Holiday Tournament championship game played on Tuesday night at Thayer Arena.
“It took a great shot by Taylor to win this game,” said Lincoln coach Jim Riel. “Taylor ended up being named MVP of the tournament.”
Cumberland took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Michael Kinch. Lincoln took a 2-1 lead after two periods on goals by Nick Zammarelli and Mike Enos but the Clippers stayed strong and tied the game in the third stanza on Andrew Pluta’s goal.

WOONSOCKET- Jennie G. (Gyzrb) Dupuis, 92, of Providence St, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph "Nel" N. Dupuis.
Born in Millville, MA she was the daughter of the late Pieter and Agnes (Cox) Gyzrb.
Jennie worked for twenty five years for the former Stamina Mills in Forestdale. She was a Past-president and member of the Emblem Club #27.

Albert C. Ralyea

FRANKLIN- Albert C. Ralyea 84, of Franklin, died Saturday December 24, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. He was the husband of the late Anita (Guinard) Ralyea for 62 years before her death in 2009.
Born in Boston on February 13, 1927, a son of the late Alan and Grace (Shepherdson) Ralyea, he was a resident of Franklin for over 60 years.
He was raised in Foxboro, and educated in Walpole and for over 33 years worked in the textile industry at Clark-Cutler McDermott Company in Franklin.

ALBION- Lillian M. Jacques, formerly of School St., Albion, died Tuesday at The Holiday in Manville. She was the wife of the late Ernest Jacques and the late Armand Lamothe.
Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Yvonne (Blanchette) Henault. She resided in Albion for most of her life.
Mrs. Jacques was employed as a cook by the Lincoln School Department before retiring in 1982.

ATTLEBORO- Lane G. Sirois, 28 of County Street, passed away Friday at home. He was the beloved son of Gerard B. and Jeanne A. (LeBeau) Sirois of Burrillville.
Born in Attleboro, he has resided in Attleboro for the past 5 years, previously residing in Burrillville.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Jeannette M. (Taillon) Sjoblom, 88, of North Smithfield, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. Her husband of 64 years, Frederick Sjoblom, predeceased her.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Elphege and Rosena (Frenette) Taillon.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Lavergne, Annette, (Sirois) 86, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, December 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late Armand D. Lavergne.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary Jane (St. Pierre) Sirois.
Mrs. Lavergne lived most of her life in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland in 2002 and then North Smithfield in 2008.

WOONSOCKET- Marcel H. Cousineau 85, of Winthrop St. and Davenport, FL died December 18, 2011 in Florida. He was the husband of Rita (Roy) Beauparlant Cousineau and the late Theresa (Fagnant) Cousineau.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Fortunat and Marie (Godin) Cousineau.

CRANSTON- Marie Elizabeth (O'Neill) Custer of Cranston, RI, passed away suddenly on December 23. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she touched the lives of many, and is already sorely missed.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Eva LaPrade and John A. O'Neill, and lived in North Smithfield for many years.
Active in her community, she played several roles including teacher, politician, parishioner, and counselor.
