WOONSOCKET â Thanks to some conscientious motorists equipped with cell phones, the cops had the drop on two impaired motorists this weekend, but not soon enough to keep them from causing accidents.
On Saturday, a Plainville, Mass., man police suspect of driving under the influence of heroin struck an oncoming car on Cumberland Street about 6:40 p.m.
Duane A. Gero, 33, was charged with duty to stop resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, driving under the influence of liquor or intoxicating substance, laned roadway violations, operating left of center and failure to wear a seatbelt.
BURRILLVILLE â A 57-year-old man perished in a house fire at 145 Steere Farm Road Monday afternoon, police said.
Police identified the victim as Robert C. Alarie, a man neighbors said was paralyzed from the waist down and who lived alone.
Major Lareto Guglietta of the Burrillville Police Department said fire crews and police responded to an emergency call about noon and found âsignificant fireâ coming from an upstairs bedroom, where Alarieâs body was discovered.
Robert Sadko
WOONSOCKET- Robert Sadko, passed away on Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Center in Providence at the age of 42. He was the loving and devoted husband to Marzena Sadko and loving and devoted father to Alex Sadko.
He also leaves family members who loved him dearly.
A resident of Woonsocket for nearly two decades, he was a communicant and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Woonsocket.
Ryan J. Finazzo
BELLINGHAM- Ryan J. Finazzo, 27, of Bellingham, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 8, 2012 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford.
A lifelong resident of Bellingham, he was born in 1985 the son of David J. Finazzo of Bellingham and the late Theresa M. (Bradley) Finazzo who passed in 2010.
Ryan was a graduate of Bellingham High School in 2004. He was a talented artist and had a passion for art in any form. He was also well known and loved in the skateboarding community of the northeast.
Suzanne R. Reilly
BURRILLVILLE - Suzanne R. (Mandeville) Reilly, 71, of Mapleville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
She was the wife of Robert Reilly, whom she married July 4, 1963.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Belva (Jodoin) Mandeville.
Suzanne was a homemaker and loved her family very much.
Roland R. Gross
NORTH SMITHFIELD-Roland R. Gross, 64, of Forestdale, died Friday, December 7, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Jeanne M. (Lataille) Gross, whom he married April 21, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Vernon D. Gross and Aurore (Benoit) Gross-Menard.

MENDON, MA- Cecilia M. (Collamati) Baisley, 85, of Mendon, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William B. Baisley deceased in 1955 from Polio.

BURRILLVILLE- Iris C. Lataille 97, resident of Pascoag died December 7, 2012, at the Overlook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Mapleville RI on July 6, 1915, a daughter of the late Napoleon & Celima (Labossiere) Lataille.

WOONSOCKET- Claire E. Rainville 81, formerly of Burrington St. died December 8, 2012 at The Holiday Retirement Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roland R. Rainville.
Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Norbert and Clara (Richard) Arsenault.
