NORTH SMITHFIELD — Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin and the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) are bringing attention to the dangers of texting and driving with a high school awareness tour that visited North Smithfield High School Wednesday.
WOONSOCKET – A former Woonsocket Middle School teacher convicted of having a sexual relationship with a female student has been paroled from the Adult Correctional Institutions after serving just 12 years of a 20-year sentence.
Richard R. Lalime Jr., 42, registered as a sex offender with the Woonsocket Police Department on Nov. 21, the same day he was released from the ACI.
James DiChristofero of North Smithfield and his 7-year-old grandaughter, Alivia Verasammy, also of North Smithfield, enjoy the Annual Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park, as part of Woonsocket's Main Street Holiday Stroll Thursday night.
Andre N. Genereux
WOONSOCKET- Andre N. "Andy" Genereux, 61, of Woonsocket, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. He was the beloved husband for four years of Debra S. (Hays) Genereux.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 23, 1951, he was the son of Florence Remillard of Falmouth, MA and the late Gerald N. Genereux.
Renee M. Fleurant
GLOCESTER- Renee M. (Teletchea) Fleurant, 76, of Chepachet, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday December 5, 2012. She was the wife of the late Jean M. Fleurant.
Mrs. Fleurant was born on the Island of St. Pierre, France and was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Stelle (Covepel) Teletchea.
