Soukhamthath's ready to make his mark in MMA

The electrifying bantamweight prospect kicked off the year by picking up his first pro victory on Feb. 3 with a second-round submission of Gilvan Santos before a large gathering of local fight fans at Twin River.

City Council to consider supplemental tax bill

WOONSOCKET — The City Council has posted notice of a special meeting on Wednesday during which the panel will consider legislation empowering the city to pass a supplemental tax bill to help plug a $10 million hole in the School Department's budget.
