WOONSOCKET â€“ More than 500 residents packed into Hamlet Middle School last night to decry the supplemental tax increase city officials have proposed as a partial solution to a cash crunch thatâ€™s rushing toward the city like a freight train.

Monday saw Hurley conduct an early morning workout session with the Rhody players brought specifically to campus by previous coach Jim Baron. He described the proceedings as a prime chance to gather more information while simultaneously laying his cards on the table in terms of expectations moving forward.
Anne A. Mandeville
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Anne A. (Kozaczka) Mandeville, 90, of School Street, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Rowell L. Mandeville. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Tomasz and Rosalia (Mikula) Kozaczka.
WOONSOCKET- Florence Berube, 91, formerly of Woonsocket and Slatersville, died Thursday, March 15th at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, MA. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Berube.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Rose Alma (Masse) Beaudet. She was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Slatersville for many years.
In her early years Mrs. Berube was employed in the local textile industry. She later worked for Tenczar Photography. Later she worked in the housekeeping department at St. Antoine Residence before retiring in 1985.
EAST FALMOUTH- Helen Baglini of East Falmouth, formerly of Bellingham, MA passed away at home on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
Born in Blackstone, MA on October 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Concetta (Grassi) Baglini.
BELLINGHAM- Adolpha Yerka, 97, a resident of Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island for the past 20 months, a former long time resident of Bellingham, Mass. died Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
Born in Rockville, Connecticut, she was the daughter of Stanislaw and Aniela (Niemic) Bziukiewicz.
Adolpha was predeceased by her parents, her husband Joseph Francis Yerka who died in June 1980 and her brother Myron Bziukiewicz died in 1999.
David R. Post, Sr.
BELLINGHAM- David R. Post, Sr., 70, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Dianna M. (Muise) Post.
Born in South Ambay, NJ on February 23, 1942, he was the son of the late Russell and Helen (Bennett) Post.
EMIL J. KOSIOR
BLACKSTONE- Emil J. Kosior, 92, of Blackstone, passed away on Friday at Landmark Medical Center after a short illness.
He was the husband of the late Merriom (Ellsey) Kosior. Born Oct. 11, 1919 in Woonsocket, he was the son of
the late Joseph & Helen (Kopacz) Kosior, he was a life long resident of Blackstone. For 50 years he was the owner &
operator of Emil's Repair & Service Station in Blackstone before retiring. He was a past member of the Blackstone Police
Roger L. Gelinas
WOONSOCKET- Roger L. Gelinas, 64, of Woonsocket, died Friday at Trinity Health Center. He was the loving husband of Florence T. (Nadeau) Gelinas.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Roger E. and Claire (Lafrenniere) Gelinas. He remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Gelinas was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and earned his degree from Johnson & Wales University.
He was employed by Blackstone Valley Security and previously worked at Superior Health Care Corporation.
