WOONSOCKET- Joseph Normand Baril 87, of 100 Front St., died Monday at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Ernest and Florence (Morel) Baril.
Joseph was a clerk for Woonsocket Motor Inn for over ten years, he also worked as a custodian at the former Ames Department Store for five years.
Roland J. Benoit
Roland J. "Uncle Ben" Benoit, 87, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Jeanne M. (D'Arc) Benoit.
Born in Woonsocket on December 28, 1924, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Cecilia (Roberge) Benoit.
He was the brother of Armand Benoit and his wife, Lucille of Hemet, CA, and the late Rene Benoit. He leaves his many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his special little friend Dylan.
Raymond J. Bouley
WOODBURY- Raymond J. Bouley, 87, a resident of Woodbury, Conn., and former resident of Heritage Village in Southbury, died on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital after suffering a stroke. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara J. Bouley.
WOONSOCKET — The state-appointed Budget Commission Monday reserved the right not to recall up to 98 teachers who are still holding pink slips, about a fifth of the Woonsocket Education Department’s teaching workforce.
Schools Supt. Giovanna Donoyan was before the panel asking for permission to recall 56 teachers immediately to fill known vacancies, including a number of state-mandated positions.
