WOONSOCKET â Summer vacation is winding down for local students and that had Jacqueline Dowdy back before the School Committee this week talking about the annual Back to School Celebration in the city.
Dowdy is the Woonsocket coordinator for the statewide Back to School program that has put free school supplies in the hands of students for the past 13 years. Woonsocket has participated for the past eight years.
WOONSOCKET -- Kings Row, dubbed âNew Englandâs #1 Oldies Band,â in conjunction with sponsor The Call, are putting on a free fundraising concert for the benefit of Autumnfest 2012.
