WOONSOCKET- Stephen Hoyceanyls 88, died Tuesday, November 26, in Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Irene (Dugas) Hoyceanyls. Together they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on November 24 of this year.
Mr. Hoyceanyls was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Mikeal and Amelia (Kluchevitch) Hoyceanyls.
He was a WWII and Korean War veteran serving in the US Navy. Mr. Hoyceanyls was a foreman for the A. Bonfitti Co. before retiring in 1990.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Cecile Y. St. George 93, of Mendon Rd. died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alfred and Dorilda (Berard) Duguay.
Cecile worked in several area textile mills, she was also an assembler at Amprex .
She is survived by a sister Hortense A. Duguay with whom she lived, a brother Paul Duguay of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her twin Eileen Wright and siblings Lionel Duguay and Germaine Denoyelle.

LINCOLN- Cindy R. Martin 52, of School St. died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Miriam Hospital.
She was born in Woonsocket, May 6, 1961 a daughter of the late Gerald and Vivianne Holcomb.
Cindy worked as a secretary for CVS and the Beacon Charter School, she also worked as a waitress at the Fireside Café in Lincoln.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Shannon Martin with whom she lived, and a brother Scott Holcomb.

GLOCESTER- Walter Thomas Richardson of Chepachet, husband of Constance (Desjarlais) for 60 years, passed away Friday November 29 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 22, 1933 in Mapleville, son of late Walter B. and Mildred (Shayer) Richardson, Walt was a Navy veteran serving 1952 to 1956. He worked at Richpane, then many years at Dupane, Inc. until opening his own business in 1984, Walt's Oil & Gas Service, until retiring in 1995.

Deck the tree with Lincoln history

LINCOLN – It’s time to decorate for the holidays, and Dave Sale and Dick DiMassie, members of the Lincoln Citizens Celebration Committee, are hoping local residents will support historic preservation with the purchase of the latest town ornament put out by the committee.

This year the ornament is a depiction of the wooden covered bridge near the Manchester Farm Road entrance of Lincoln Woods State Park.
“We think it will bring back a lot of memories for people who have visited Lincoln Woods over the years,” Sale said.
