MARDI GRAS CELEBRATION HELD IN LINCOLN

WOONSOCKET — Mount St. Charles head coach Jessica Shiel would have liked to celebrate a pair of triumphs on Tuesday night.
First, she hoped her squad would pull out a win over Division II-North foe Lincoln, then turn her attention to how much money the Mounties had raised during its first ever “Pink-Out” contest, with all proceeds from the gate and T-shirt sales going directly to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

WOONSOCKET- Annette J. Belleville, 92 of Woonsocket died Monday at Woonsocket Health Center. She was the wife of the late Leo Belleville.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Peloquin) Daignault. She remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Annette was employed by the Woonsocket School Department Lunch Program for over 20 years before retiring in 1994.

WOONSOCKET- Rita L. Guillet 102, died Monday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Louis Guillet.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Aline (Langlais) Barras.
Mrs. Guillet was a homemaker for most of her life. In her later years, she was a cafeteria worker for the school lunch program at Woonsocket High School. Rita was a member of the St. Joseph's Senior Citizens.

PALM BAY, FL- Bette Doonan, 89, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 in the comfort of her nephew Kai's home.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Edward James and Mary Francis (McMullen) Doonan.
Family members Edward, Paul, David and Peter predeceased her in life.

HARRISVILLE- Ronald R. Lizotte 49 of Harrisville died Thursday, February 7th after a short battle with illness.
Born in Woonsocket he is the son of Charles Lizotte, Sr. of Blackstone, MA and Anne (Perron) Richer of Woonsocket, RI. He has resided in Harrisville for the last 25 years.
Prior to his illness Ronald worked as a self-employed painter.
Ronald was a loving son, brother, father and friend. He was an avid golfer, talented musician, hunter and outdoorsman.

WOONSOCKET- Thavisinh Souphanthavong, 60, passed on February 9th.
Born January 10, 1953 in Luangprabang, a son of the late Houmpheng and Chansouk Souphamthavong.
He held an engineering degree at Luangprabang College and also studied Post graduate in India.
He is survived by a daughter, Soumalinh Tran of Woonsocket, four grandchildren, Kaiden and Carter Souphanthavong, Lana and Noah Tran. He was the father of the late Willy Souphamthavong.

WOONSOCKET- Claire (Demers) Lanctot, 79, of Woonsocket, died February 8, 2013, after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket to Edgar and Rosita (Brunette) Demers, Claire was married to the late former mayor Francis L. Lanctot for fifty-two years.
A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Claire was a homemaker, a founding member of the Rosewood Pitch League and a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.

WOONSOCKET- Leona A. (Michaud) Allard, 91, of Ridge St., died February 7, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Romeo T. Allard.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emile P. and Mary Louise (Lavoie) Michaud.
Mrs. Allard worked for numerous area textile mills, including the former Lafond Weaving, Manville, where she retired as a mender in1983. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket and a member of the St. Joseph's Seniors.
