Linda S. Brewer
MENDON, MA- Linda S. (Collupy) Brewer, 62, of Mendon, passed away Sat. Feb. 2, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Robert S. Brewer.
She was born in Woburn in 1950 the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (McNeil) Collupy, Sr. and was raised in Burlington.
Lucien J. Gagne
BELLINGHAM- Lucien J. Gagne, 89, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Genesis Healthcare Milford Center. He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Yvette A. (Ledoux) Gagne.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on September 13, 1923, he was the son of the late Edmond and Maria (Gregoire) Gagne.
Thelma I. Frankian
CUMBERLAND- Thelma I. (Menard) Frankian, 84, of Cumberland passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was the wife of the late Warren Frankian.
Born in Lincoln, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Florence (Conway) Menard, she was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
Thelma enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid card player.

WOONSOCKET – The police department revived a past tradition Friday evening when it handed out 196 recognition awards to its members.
The ceremony at the Father Marot CYO Center at 53 Federal St. also included awards for community members and organizations such as the Woonsocket Prevention Coalition that have worked with the department over the years to improve the quality of life of local residents.
CUMBERLAND - State Rep. Mia A. Ackerman (D-Dist. 45 Cumberland, Lincoln) is in talks with officials from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) after learning that the Manville Hill Road Bridge on the Cumberland-Lincoln line will have to remain closed until the end of April.

WOONSOCKET – It’s an old story now, the tale of the city’s once famous Cobble Rock, but also one that continues to spark fond feelings of times gone by among those who remember it.
That is how Paul Durand, 64, of Crepeau Court was feeling while visiting the site of Cobble Rock in the city’s Fairmount woods during unseasonable warm weather on Wednesday.

PAWTUCKET — With a solid effort on the defensive boards and the typical pinpoint field-goal accuracy from senior guards Jaime LaFazia and Keila Strick, North Smithfield High posted a workmanlike 53-41 Division III victory over Bishop Keough at St. Raphael Academy's Alumni Hall early Saturday afternoon.
LaFazia – call her the No. 2 – drained 13 of her 18 points in the opening half, and also contributed five steals, five assists and six rebounds for the Northmen, who improved to 9-5 overall and 8-3 in league play.
Woonsocket firefighters responded to a fire at 198 Front St., which houses Wally's Market and five apartments above it, on Friday just after 5:00 p.m. The fire started between the market's ceiling and the second floor and was confined to that area, according to Deputy Fire Chief Paul Shatraw. The fire displaced the residents of two apartments and the market is closed through the weekend.
