Arrest made in connection to break-in

WOONSOCKET – The theft of more than $17,800 in assorted items of jewelry from a Glen Road home has resulted in felony charges against a 22-year-old city woman of breaking and entering, receiving stolen goods, and conspiracy, according to police.
Victoria Fusco, of Paradis Avenue, has been charged in connection with the Jan. 29 housebreak after police received information she was at her Paradis Avenue residence.

Poll: low confidence in RI’s future

PROVIDENCE – A whopping 94.2 percent of Rhode Islanders say the state economy is poor or not so good and only 16.7 percent expressed confidence that state leaders would make the right decision about the Ocean State’s future, according to a Brown University poll released on Thursday.

WOONSOCKET --- Mount St. Charles avenged an ugly 4-1 defeat to the Warwick co-op team six nights ago in their regular-season finale by defeating the Warwick squad by the same score on Friday night in their State Championship playoff opener at Adelard Arena.
Elisabeth Berard scored a pair of goals in the second period to erase a 1-0 deficit and help the Mounties take Game 1 of their best-of-three semifinal-round series. The Mounties can sweep the series tonight at 7 p.m. when the series resumes at Thayer Arena.
