Garry W. Howard
PUTNAM, CT- Garry W. Howard, 58, died unexpectedly Saturday April 20, 2013 in U-Mass Medical Center, Worcester, MA. A resident of Putnam, CT, he was the husband of Suzanne Menard whom he married Feb. 22, 2007.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Lois (Howard) Divencenzo of Harmony and the late James Silverthorne.
Garry was the owner and operator of Artistic Stamped Concrete.
Robert R. Godin III
PINELLAS PARK, FLORIDA- Robert R. Godin III passed away on 4/8/13 at the age of 23.
He resided in Pinellas Park, Florida and had plans of attending nursing school.
He is survived by his father Robert Godin Jr. of Woonsocket, RI, his mother Kelley M. Godin of Pinellas Park, Florida and brother Troy R Godin of Woonsocket, RI.
A funeral service is being held at First Assembly of Gods Church, 420 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI at 11 am on Saturday May 4th.
BLACKSTONE â€“ Town health officials Sunday abruptly closed the Blackstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and ordered the evacuation and relocation of the nursing homeâ€™s 25 residents after it was discovered the Butler Street facility had been without heat and hot water since Thursday afternoon.
Town officials were tipped off about conditions at the facility after the daughter of one resident went to visit her mother Sunday and saw her and other residents sitting around wearing coats and eating off paper plates. The facility had no heat or hot water due to a cracked boiler plate.
Constance V. Grant
BURRILLVILLE- Constance V. Grant, 84, of Pascoag, RI, died March 30, 2013 at the Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Grant.
She was born April 23, 1928 in Woonsocket, RI, a daughter of the late William & Aurore (Provencal) Theroux.
Jeannette R. Lavallee
MANVILLE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. James Church, 33 Division St., Manville for Jeannette R. Lavallee who died on February 7, 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home.
Joseph A. St. Sauveur
WOONSOCKET- Joseph A. "Sonny" St. Sauveur, 82, of Woonsocket and North Port, FL, died Monday April 1, 2013 in Florida.
Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Aram and Elvira (Diorio) St. Sauveur. He was raised in Manville and resided in Woonsocket for many years and was a winter resident of North Port, FL.
Mr. St. Sauveur was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1950 -1952.
He was employed as a supervisor at Acumeter Lab from 1963 to 1984 and then worked as a machinist at ACS Industries until retiring in 1993.
Roger R. Fournier
BURRILLVILLE- Roger R. Fournier, 52, of Sayles Avenue, died Friday in the Hospice Intake Center.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Roch and Cora (Denomme) Fournier.He was President of R& C Painting.
He leaves his beloved girlfriend, Karen Tysen of Uxbridge, MA, his son, Chad J. Fournier of North Smithfield, siblings, Elaine Fournier, Susan Lavigne, Ann LHeureux, Claire Fournier, and Karen Fournier.
Funeral service Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Wednesday 5-8pm.
Rosemary G. Barber
CUMBERLAND- Rosemary G. Barber, 70, formerly of Arnold Drive, passed away Saturday at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Robert T. Barber, and they had been married for 49 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Wallace) Gall.
Mrs. Barber was employed as Registered Nurse and Supervisor for the Roger William Medical Center and Fogarty Hospital for many years.
CUMBERLAND- Sylvia (Bouchard) Bacchiocchi, 101, of Mendon Road died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Dario A. Bacchiocchi (B.A. Dario).
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Isidore Joseph and Emma (Brodeur) Bouchard, she had lived in Lincoln and Cumberland for many years.
WOONSOCKET- Jeannette D. L'Esperance, 89, formerly of Park Place, Woonsocket died Friday evening at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Roma A. L'Esperance.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (Allard) Landry. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. L'Esperance was employed at the Manville Jenckes and French Worsted mills and later worked at Kilnic Co. Inc. for many years before retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the Royal Travelers, and the Holy Family and St. Louis Sr. citizens groups.
