Investigation stuns Cumberland Fire District official

CUMBERLAND – The chairman of the Cumberland Fire District’s Board of Commissioners Thursday said his board was slated to hold a closed-door meeting last night to discuss an ongoing State Police investigation into missing money from the Cumberland Fire District.
“We’ve got a lot to discuss,” said James N. Leonard. “We still have to pay bills and there are things we need to iron out while all of this is going on.”

WOONSOCKET- James C. Ferrio, 48, of Dulude Ave, died accidently, in a house fire, early Wednesday morning August 21, 2013.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Leo and Cecile (Brin) Ferrio.
Jim worked as a Handyman, and Painter.
He was a very kindhearted individual, whom, always was there to help others. He enjoyed family and friends, playing cribbage, and the game WII, with his family. He was a New England Sports enthusiast.

CUMBERLAND- Edgar E. Nadeau, 85, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in Cortland Place, Greenville. He was the husband of Vivian T. (Joubert) Nadeau, to whom he was married for sixty-one years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Euclide and Zita (Bourre) Nadeau.
