WOONSOCKET â When he was a student at Woonsocket High School, long before anybody ever dreamed of school uniforms, Mayor Leo T. Fontaine had his own dress code.
Fellow classmates recall he routinely wore a tie during his high school days. By then, the youngest of seven siblings in a musically-inclined family had already been the church organist at Sacred Heart Parish for several years, a role heâs never given up. At 44, he still blushes when he hears a certain kind of joke.

She was the wife of the late James F. "Obee" O'Brien.
She was born in North Smithfield, a daughter of the late Henry & Alice (Brodeur) Langelier.
Florence M. Dauphin
BLACKSTONE- Florence M. Dauphin 98, formerly of Early Village in Blackstone, MA, died Thursday at Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Dauphin.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Jules and Analda (Lefebvre) Tessier.
Florence was a clerk at the former Robert's Children's Shop for twenty eight years before retiring in 1989.

BELLINGHAM- Yvette E. (Bell) Deziel, 74, of Bellingham, MA passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in Franklin with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 53 years of Maurice A. Deziel.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on December 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Lena (St. Germain) Bell.

CUMBERLAND â A single-car crash that claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman on West Wrentham Road Thursday morning was discovered by a passing motorist, police said.
Deputy Police Chief George Stansfield said the department received a call regarding the accident at 8 a.m. from a motorist who spotted the wreckage off the road and in the woods.
The accident was reported to have occurred in the area of 80 West Wrentham Road, Stanfield said.
