FRANKLIN- Marguerite M. (Dytche) Rogers 96, of Franklin, died peacefully, at her home Monday September 30, 2013 with family at her side, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Forest R. Rogers who died in 1994.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1917 a daughter of the late Leo S. and Mayme (ODea) Dytche. Erie, PA was her home town where her family resided, and she attended Academy High School and worked as a bookkeeper during WWII. She moved many times during her lifetime finally residing in Cumberland, RI and in 2006 Franklin, MA.
CUMBERLAND- Lucien R. Chartier Sr., 74, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at home while surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 54 years, Helene (Goethals) Chartier.
Born and raised in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Andrew and RoseAlma (Allard) Chartier.
Herve E. Rochefort
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Herve E. Rochefort, 92, of, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Rita (Lariviere) Rochefort. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Ovila and Oliva (Desilets) Rochefort.
Herve was an Army veteran, serving in WWII. He was an avid golfer at Country View Golf Club, Burrillville.
Lionel J. Frappier
SLATERSVILLE- Lionel J. Frappier, 86, of School St., died, September 28, 2013 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late John N. and Alice (Racine) Frappier. He lived in Woonsocket for many years before moving to Bellingham, MA, Springfield, MA and finally Slatersville.
Joan (Liard) Marois
WOONSOCKET- Joan (Liard) Marois Daughter of James and Gloria Liard, one of 15 siblings, mother to Rich and Steve, grandmother to Ally, "Joan of Arc", minister to Love and a student of Life and All that Lives transitioned from this world to the next in Light and Love surrounded by her life long companion, friends and family.
WOONSOCKET â€“ Federal criminal complaints have been filed in U.S. District Court in Providence charging the two men who were allegedly responsible for an armed home invasion at 67 West Park Place on Sept. 12 with multiple federal counts.

BURRILLVILLE- Doucette, Louis A., 91, of Oakland, RI, passed away September 30, 2013 at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag.
He was the loving husband to Jennie (Pulnik) Doucette.
He was born in Oakland, a son of the late Albert & Stacia (Scully) Doucette.
Marie H. Jodoin
WOONSOCKET- Marie H. (Ritchot) Jodoin, formerly Marie Stewart, 82, of Woonsocket, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Morgan Health Center, Johnston.
She was born in Woonsocket to the late Joseph and Laura (Archambeault) Ritchot.
EAST PROVIDENCE â€“ Police have made two arrests in connection with Sundayâ€™s
shooting at Onna Moniz John Park, but are not releasing the names of the
suspects until later this afternoon pending further investigation,
according to police Lt. Michael David.
â€śWe have two individuals in custody,â€ť David said. "The quick arrests in
this are a direct result of police officers being familiar with the
community in which they work and inter agency cooperation."
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old victim in the shooting was being listed today
