MANVILLE- Marguerite E. (Kuntz) Connolly, 89, of Sayles Hill Road, died September 3, 2013 in Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of Joseph A. Connolly, Jr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Annette (Patrie) Duhamel.
Marguerite enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. She was the Valedictorian of Woonsocket High School, class of 1942.
CUMBERLAND- Clara (Ames) Schofield, 93, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Walter Schofield.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Isabelle (Blodgett) Ames.
She is survived by two sons, William and Thomas Schofield; a daughter, Marjorie Moore, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A private burial was held in Arnold Mills Cemetery, Cumberland. Arrangements by ONeill Funeral Home, Cumberland.
WOONSOCKET- Normand R. Dextraze, 72, of Woonsocket, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 in his home. He was the husband of Lucille A. (Boisvert) Dextraze, whom he married April 22, 1967.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Donat and Lea (Blanchard) Dextraze.
Donna M. Tellier
WOONSOCKET- Tellier, Donna, M., (Luciano), 66, formerly of Woonsocket, died unexpectedly on August 31, 2013 at the Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of William R. Tellier.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Victor J. and Hilda (Arruda) Luciano Sr., she lived in Woonsocket for many years.
Mrs. Tellier was a clerk in the nursing staffing and payroll department at Rhode Island Hospital for 32 years before retiring in 2008. Donna enjoyed reading, music, cooking and gardening. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Alfred Bureau Jr.
ALVIN, TEXAS- Alfred Bureau Jr. passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013. Originally from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Alfred moved to Alvin in 1984 where he resided with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bureau; sons: Jacob and Laython; and grandson Judah. Family members include his father, Alfred Bureau Sr. from Blackstone, Mass.; siblings: Diane Nichols from Alvin, Texas, Scott Bureau from San Antonio, Texas, Tracy Walsh from Woodstock, Conn., and Dawn Fafard from Pascoag, R.I.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

WOONSOCKET â Just in time for the school year, the discovery of structural problems with the Hamlet Avenue Bridge prompted state transportation officials to close off two of the spanâs four lanes Tuesday morning â for the foreseeable future.
Public Works Director Sheila McGauvran said the problem is associated with the failure of an expansion grate at the eastbound approach to the bridge, which crosses the Blackstone River.
The problem was discovered by Highway Supt. Rick Lambert, according to McGauvran. The state Department of Transportation later dispatched inspectors to take a look.
Phyllis E. Walker
BURRILLVILLE- Phyllis E. (Wilcox) Walker, 95, formerly of Lapham Farm Rd. in Burrillville, died Sunday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Grover Cleveland Walker.
Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ann (Hoggarth) Wilcox. Phyllis was a machine operator for the former H & H Machine Co. for many years before retiring.
WOONSOCKET- Gilberte (Joly) Carey of Woonsocket RI, 82, passed away on August 10, 2013 in Phoenix AZ. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Raymond, sons Paul, Roger, and Robert and seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She was born in Woonsocket RI, graduated from St. Clair's High School in 1949, married to Raymond on November 25, 1956.
Agnes Joan Crook
WELLESLEY- Agnes Joan (Foley) Crook, long-time resident of Wellesley, passed away September 2, 2013, at the age of 90.
Born in Milford, MA on April 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Margaret (McAuliffe) Foley.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John F. Crook and her three sisters Mary Potenza, Madonna O'Brien, and Helen Demers.
