Gerald W. "Gerry" Fournier Sr.
BURRILLVILLE- Gerald W. "Gerry" Fournier Sr., 85, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at home. He was the husband of the late Beverly E. (Gingell) Fournier.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Grant Sr. and Loretta Fournier. He lived in Harrisville most of his life.
NIVERVILLE, NY- Andrew A. Kennedy, Jr., 76, of Niverville, NY died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home.
Born October 19, 1936 in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Andrew A. and Helen (O'Gara) Kennedy Sr.
Doris J. Brunette
WOONSOCKET- Doris J. Brunette, 86, passed away on July 15, 2013 at her residence.
She is survived by her children, Donald Brunette and Monica Aberdeen both of Woonsocket, RI. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral Services and burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket.
Marion E. Belleville
WOONSOCKET- Marion E. (Nichols) Belleville, 90, of Woonsocket, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Ralph N. Belleville, to whom she was married for over sixty years.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Lillian (Lever) Nichols.
Edgar T. Lajoie
CUMBERLAND- Edgar T. Lajoie, 92, of Mary wood Lane, Cumberland, R.I. formerly of Blackstone, Ma., died, Sunday July 14, 2013, in the Holiday Retirement Home, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Stasia (Kinash) Lajoie.
Born in Woonsocket, Son of the late Joseph and Helena (Trudeau) Lajoie.
Mr. Lajoie was Owner and Operator of Tile Craft in Bellingham, MA. Before retiring in l983.
He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in WW11.
He enjoyed fishing, rock climbing and exploring the woods in Maine.
WOONSOCKET â€” Late Monday night, Navigant Post 85 suffered its most dismal frame of the season during an 11-6 loss to North Division-leading Upper Deck Post 86-14 at Chet Nichols Memorial Field in Lincoln.
It surrendered nine runs while issuing seven walks, committing three errors and striking a batter in the bottom of the fifth, handing the tilt to the visitors, which mustered only three hits.
Co-skippers Jim Gauthier and Buster Perreault, however, gained a bit of revenge on Tuesday evening, and it came in the form of Woonsocket High grad Brandon Rainville.
WOONSOCKET â€” A fundraising campaign has been launched for the purpose of underwriting a possible legal challenge to the $2.5 million supplemental tax bill the city is planning to issue next week.
The main organizers are Roland Michaud, a member of the Zoning Board of Review, and Dick Bouchard, part-owner of radio station WNRI.
Marjorie M. Robbins
WOONSOCKET - Marjorie M. (Harford) Robbins, 82, of Friendly Home Rhodes Ave. and previously of Marlboro, MA, died July 11, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James W. Robbins. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Ruth (Sheffield) McKenna.
PITTSFORD, NY- Robert Kirrane Murph, 74 died peacefully at his home in Pittsford, NY on July 4, 2013 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Edith D. Murphy.
Bob was born in Woonsocket, RI, the youngest son of Martha (Kirby) and Raymond F. Murphy.
He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy where he was a star hockey player and "Mountie of the Year".

Upper Deck Post 86-14 took advantage of seven walks, a hit batsmen and three errors â€“ all in a nine-run fifth frame â€“ to register a stunning, come-from-behind 11-6 marathon victory over Navigant Post 85 at Chet Nichols Memorial Field on Monday night.
With the triumph, Upper Deck â€“ which mustered only three hits in the contest â€“ remained in first place in R.I. American Legion League-North Division action at 13-3 (18-5 overall), while co-manager Jim Gauthier's club fell to 12-5 in league play.
