WARWICK â€“ Upper Deck Post 86/14 skipper Steve Reynolds Sr. admitted before his squad's final regular-season tilt against Senerchia Post 74 early Monday night that he'd be a bit shorthanded, as four or five of his players were home nursing minor injuries.
â€śIt's a long season, and those things are going to happen,â€ť he stated. â€śWe're OK.â€ť

Edmond H. Cabana, Sr.
WOONSOCKET - Edmond H. Cabana, Sr., formerly of Lincoln, passed away on July 21, 2013 at the Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield, RI surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of the late Lucy L. (Virgilio) Cabana.
He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Edmond R. & Lucienne (Beaulieu) Cabana.
Elizabeth Clarke Howes
WOONSOCKET - Elizabeth Clarke Howes, 66, of Dana Street, passed away Monday at the Trinity Health Care Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late James Sturgis Howes and Ellen (Clarke) Howes. She resided Woonsocket for the last few years, previously residing in Cumberland.
She was a 1965 graduate of Cumberland High School. She was also a 1969 graduate of Stonehill College.
Miss Howes was employed as teacher for the Pawtucket School Department for over 30 years.
Roger P. Gouin
PASCOAG - Roger P. Gouin 79, formerly of Village Way, North Smithfield, R.I. died Wednesday July 18, 2013 in Bayberry Commons with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Marie ( DiSano) Gouin.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Edward and Yvonne (Hamlin) Gouin.
Mr. Gouin was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was Owner and Operator of Rolans Plumbing and Heating, for several years prior to retiring.
Roger enjoyed spending time at the ocean, and vacationing in New Hampshire.
Jeannine F. Bishop
BlACKSTONE, MA - Jeannine F. (Comtois) Bishop, 85, of Farm Street, died Sunday July 21, 2013 in the Friendly Home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Everett Bishop.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Albert and Donalda (St. Germain) Comtois.
Jeannine worked as a Sales Clerk for Lee's Pharmacy for 30 years prior to retiring.
LINCOLN â€“ A local man is facing homicide charges in connection with the execution-style shooting death of a 23-year-old man in Avon, Mass. nearly two years ago.
Willie Wilkerson, 27, of 1200 Lonsdale Ave., was arraigned in District Court Monday on charges of being a fugitive from justice in Massachusetts.
Wilkerson was arrested by a multi-agency task force on a homicide warrant issued by the Norfolk County District Attorneyâ€™s Office, according to Major Todd Catlow, commander of detectives for the Rhode Island State Police.

Thomas V. Blazejewski
WAKEFIELD - Thomas V. Blazejewski, 87, of Wakefield, died July 19, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Richmond) Blazejewski for 65 years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frank and Valeria (Kukla) Blazejewski.
Mr. Blazejewski was a machinist in the manufacturing industry for many years. He served honorably with the US Army during World War II.
Edward J. Gorman
WOONSOCKET - Edward J. Gorman, 77, passed on July 19th, he was the longtime companion of Danny Savard.
Born in Maine, he was the son of the late Patrick O. Gorman and Jane (Blouin) McClaine.
He had been employed in the jewelry industry for many years.
Besides his companion he is survived by his beloved dog "Mollie", his aunts, Ester Morgan of Augusta, Maine, and Emma Watts of Alabama and many cousins.
LINCOLN â€” Rhode Island State Police confirmed on Sunday that three people were killed after a head-on crash on Route 146 at 3:07 a.m.
State police said the crash was caused by Aldo Almanzar, 29 of North Smithfield who was driving a Toyota and traveling in the wrong direction on Route 146 near Route 99. Almanzarâ€™s car hit a Hondo Accord, head-on according to state police. There were three people in the Honda.
State police said Almanzar, who was killed, did not have a driver's license and was not wearing a seat belt.
