NORTH SMITHFIELD â€“ As is usually the case, the home team celebrating â€śSenior Night,â€ť or their last tilt of the season on their own floor, opens slowly due to the emotion of the moment.

WOONSOCKET â€“ Based on their interpretation of the City Charter, officials say longtime parks and recreation worker David P. Ayotte may remain on the job despite his arrest on felony gambling charges, at least until heâ€™s indicted by a grand jury.

While thereâ€™s no denying that this threat to Northmen athletics is cause for concern, itâ€™s also a tad on the premature side to jump to hasty conclusions that hone in on the worst-case scenario.
Frank B. Struzik
WOONSOCKET- Frank B. Struzik, 88, of No. Ballou St., died February 9, 2014 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Stella A. (Tesavis) Struzik whom he married June 22, 1957.
Born in Bellingham, he was the Son of the late John and Aniela (Wojtak) Struzik.
Dorothy A. Bailey
WOONSOCKET- Dorothy A. (Redelsperger) Bailey, 86, of Elm St. died Sunday, February 9, in Kindred Hospital in Stoughton, MA. She was the wife of the late Frederick Bailey Sr.
She was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanne (Wegimont) Redelsperger.
Mrs Bailey was a clerk for the State of RI for many years retiring in 1992.
She is survived by a son, Frederick Bailey Jr. of Woonsocket, a daughter; Jeanne Bernardini and her husband Sonny of Forestdale, four grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and 1 great- great -grandchild.
WOONSOCKET- Benjamin R. Suffoletto Sr., 92, of Central Ave. in Johnston, formerly of Woonsocket, died Sunday February 9, 2014, in Trinity Health Center. He was the husband of the late Katherine F. (DeStefano) Suffoletto.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Donato and Italia (Taglanetti) Suffoletto and his late Stepmother Catherine (Notorangelo) Suffoletto.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII.
Mr. Suffoletto worked as a Supervisor, for the Bellingham Post Office, for 30 years, prior to retiring.
Brandon J. Leduc
WOONSOCKET- Brandon J. Leduc, 32, of Woonsocket, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of Kimberly A. (Lemieux) Rizun and her husband Ronald of Woonsocket.
Brandon attended Woonsocket High School and CCRI. He worked for New England Insulation and was a carpenter by trade. Brandon was an avid fisherman.
