Phaneuf's OT goal evens Mount's state title series with Hendricken at 1-1; Game 3 is slated for Monday

PROVIDENCE --- Keith Phaneuf's goal with 31 seconds left in overtime saved Mount St. Charles' season on Saturday night and lifted the Mounties to a thrilling 4-3 victory over rival Bishop Hendricken in the second game of their best-of-three State Championship title series.
The Mounties (17-5) and Hawks (17-3-2) will return to Brown University's Meehan Auditorium on Monday for an 8 p.m. winner-take-all showdown. The Mounties are seeking their second straight title and sixth in the last seven years, while the Hawks are looking for their first since 2012.

Marathon runner, Mount alum reflects on tragic day in Boston

WOONSOCKET — With the one-year anniversary of the deadly Boston Marathon attacks fast approaching, Dr. David King, a Mount Saint Charles Academy alumnus and trauma surgeon who ran the 2013 marathon and then helped save the lives of dozens of people injured in the blasts, visited his alma mater Friday to deliver a message of hope and inspiration.

BURRILLVILLE -- For Burrillville, it’s looking an awful lot like the end of last season.
