BLACKSTONE- Debra A. (Theriault) Kellenberger, 48, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Brigham & Women's Hospital after a short courageous battle with leukemia, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Gary D. Kellenberger, Jr. they were married on November 19, 1990.
She was the loving mother of Garrett L. and Rebecca A. Kellenberger of Blackstone.

Lincoln softball makes quick work of Warwick Vets

LINCOLN --- As the weather warms up, so do Lincoln’s bats.

From the top of their batting order to the bottom, the Lions were impressive in putting on a hitting clinic on Monday afternoon at Saylesville Elementary School’s Sullivan Field, and it came at the expense of Warwick Vets.

The two-time defending champs collected 15 hits – including a season-high eight that went for extra bases – and the end result was a 14-3 thrashing that was halted after 4½ innings by the 10-run mercy rule.

Police say suspect stabbed dog, owner

WOONSOCKET – A man allegedly stabbed his neighbor’s dog Sunday before the animal’s owner intervened and the assailant allegedly turned the knife on him.
Detective Jamie Paone called the injuries to the dog minor, but she said the animal’s owner was stabbed repeatedly and later admitted to Rhode Island Hospital for emergency surgery. He was described as a 25-year-old man who lives at 26 Fairmount St., but police declined to release his name.
Police arrested Clyde Ewing, 36, of 12 Fairmount St. after responding to his house about 8:14 p.m.

LINCOLN- Kathleen F. Costa, 78, of Old River Road, died Sunday, April 27, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the companion of thirty-three years of the late Jacqueline Beattie.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Leapio and Alice (Horibin) Costa, she had lived in Pawtucket and Manville, before moving to Lincoln six years ago.
Miss Costa worked at Texas Instruments for thirty-four years, retiring as a Group Leader in 1998.

LINCOLN- M. Rita (Drainville) Lacoste, 89, of Lincoln, died April 23, 2014 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in No. Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Exilda (Caouette) Drainville.
Rita was a homemaker, but held several jobs throughout the years, including working as a telephone operator and recently working as a bus monitor for the Lincoln schools. She had lived most of her life in North Smithfield and was devoted to her family.

WOONSOCKET- Olga A. (Cybulski) Peters, 89, of Woonsocket and formerly of Prospect St., passed away peacefully on Saturday at the Friendly Home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late James J. Peters who passed away on Oct. 24, 1986.
Born in Bellingham, MA. on April 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Stanley M. and Anna (Manlick) Cybulski, she resided in Woonsocket all her life.

CUMBERLAND- Stella F. Pollitt (Spas), passed away Saturday in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Pollitt, they were married for 65 years..
Born in Woonsocket and raised in Bellingham, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Dypry) Spas.
She resided in North Smithfield for the past four years previously residing in Cumberland for 48 years.

She is survived by Sons Tom of Ocala, Brian of Maryland, Bonnie Coppinger of Woonsocket and the late Diana, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

HARRISVILLE- Lucille M. "Lu" (Simard) Harpin, 86, of Harrisville, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Gilbert F. Harpin, whom she married November 24, 1955.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florida (Brunelle) Simard.
Lucille worked for Commodore's Cleaners and many area mills. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Lu enjoyed trips to Twin River.

BLACKSTONE- Matthew H. McDonald, 28, Blackstone MA died April 20th, 2014.
He was born in South Korea and adopted by his loving parents, Robert and Marcia McDonald with his brother Jeffrey. His fiance Nichole Wojcechowicz and son Jordan McDonald carry his memory.
Mr. McDonald's funeral service will be held April 30, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St. Blackstone, MA. Calling hours 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday.
