Vincent J. Vito

July 2, 2012

WOONSOCKET - Vincent J. Vito, 100, of Bailey St., died July 2, 2012 in The Holiday Nursing Home, Lincoln. He was the husband of Eva D. (Gianco) Vito. Born in Providence, Vincent was the son of the late Carmine and Philomena (Calce) Vito.
He worked as an inspector of nurseries and woodlands for the Department of Environmental Management. Mr. Vito was a WWII Army Veteran.

Roland P. Aubin Sr.

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Roland P. Aubin Sr, 81, of St.Paul Street, died July 1, 2012 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Alpherie and Robea (Tessier) Aubin.
Roland had worked as a Machine Operator at ITT Co, which became Triangle Wire Inc, for twenty seven years, retiring in 1996. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the Army.

Thelma L. LeClair

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Thelma L. (Migneault) LeClair, 85, formerly of Quaker Highway, No. Smithfield, died June 30, 2012 in Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford, MA. She was the wife of the late Paul E. LeClair.
Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred O. and Edith L. (Squires) Migneault.
Mrs. LeClair a homemaker, but had previously worked for Meade Textiles, Birch Hill Poultry and Poly Top Corp. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, LeClair Kozlic Logan Bassett VFW Post #6342.

Patricia M. Renn

WOONSOCKET - Patricia M. Renn, 77, of Woonsocket, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center.
Born and raised in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Viola E. (Klang) Smith. She was a resident of Woonsocket for many years.
Patricia was a graduate of the former West High School in Pawtucket, Class of 1952. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Dramatics from Emerson College in Boston with the Class of 1956.

Anibett Martinez

WOONSOCKET - Anibett Martinez, 32, of Lydia Ave., Woonsocket, died suddenly Friday evening at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, New York. She was the wife of Jorge L. Martinez. There were married on June 28, 1997.
Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Anibal Rivera and Martha (Ortiz) Rivera. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico and resided in Woonsocket for the past 15 years.
Anibett was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Landmark Medical Center for the past 8 years.

BELLINGHAM - Suzanne C. (Dumont) Sullivan, 68, of Bellingham, recently of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at home with family by her side. She was the beloved wife for over 20 years of Bernard Sullivan, Jr.

WOONSOCKET - Michael R. Flood, 74, of Flora Ave. died Thursday June 28, 2012 at home.
He was the husband of Paula (Farrell) Flood who passed away in 2006.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Michael and Mary (Ryan) Flood.
Mr. Flood was Self-employed in Real Estate, and was owner and operator of M&P Cleaning.
Mr. Flood enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all helping others. He was an awesome family man. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends. Mr. Flood was quoted as saying" Success was measured by his kids."

Mariette Varieur

EAST PROVIDENCE - Mariette Varieur, 86, of East Providence, formerly of Woonsocket, died Friday, June 29 at Waterview Villa. Born in Lincoln, she was the daughter of the late Ulysse and Marie Anne (Desjardins) Gousy. Mariette was the wife of the late Leo R. Varieur, to whom she was married for sixty four years.
Mariette had been a sales clerk in the former McCarthy's Department Store and had been a volunteer for the Arc of Northern RI.

Hemond challenges Hamilton in North Smithfield

NORTH SMITHFIELD — Town resident and School Committeeman George R. Hemond announced this week that he will run as an independent candidate for North Smithfield town administrator in the November general election, giving residents a second choice at the polls.
Hemond of 18 Eaton St. will challenge incumbent Town Administrator Paulette D. Hamilton, who has held the position since 2008.
