BLACKSTONE â€“ Mosquitoes captured from a surveillance site off Gaskill Street, just over the state line from Woonsocket, have tested positive for West Nile Virus, the Bay Stateâ€™s Department of Public Health confirmed on Thursday.
The state now plans on spraying the area with mosquito-killing insecticide after 8 p.m. on Monday. This is the same type of spraying that has been done elsewhere using the pesticide sumithrin, according to the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project.

NORTH SMITHFIELD â€” As a result of statewide voter redistricting, there will be some changes to voting locations in North Smithfield.
For the first time in years, the Kendall Dean School will no longer be used as a polling place, which now reduces the number of polling locations in town to six.
The polling location changes are among several across Rhode Island this election year as a result of redistricting when political boundaries are redrawn to conform with new population numbers in the once-a-decade Census.

MANVILLE- Yolanda (Campanelli) Crete, 99, of Sayles Hill Rd. died peacefully, Wednesday August 22, 2012 in the Holiday Retirement Home, with her family by her side; after a long battle with Dementia. She was the wife of the late Aram Crete.
Born in Manville, daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Pandolfi) Campanelli.
She was raised in Manville prior to moving to Woonsocket. Yolanda moved back to Manville to live at the Holiday Retirement Home.
Yolanda worked for many years at Manville Jenkes.
She will be remembered for her warm smile.

WOONSOCKET â€” A 23-year-old city policeman who has been suspended without pay and charged with felony assault allegedly choked his 9-year-old sister, according to reports released by the Woonsocket Police Department Wednesday.
Two sisters were at their fatherâ€™s house when the 9-year-old went downstairs where Patrick Cahill was watching television and asked if she could go outside, according to the report.

Theresa M. Hebert
NASONVILLE- Theresa M. Hebert 88, of Ironmine Rd., Nasonville, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Conrad A. Hebert.
Born in Blackstone, she was a daughter of the late Delphis and Angelina (Lebrun) Ferron.
Theresa was a credit manager for the former Woonsocket Hospital for twenty five years before retiring. After her retirement, she and her husband lived in Florida for eight years before moving back to RI.
Dennis R. Taillon
BURRILLVILLE- Dennis R. Taillon, 58, died suddenly, Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Bridgewater, VT. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Flinton) Taillon, whom he was married to for 28 years.
They lived in Pascoag for many years and also spent time at their property in Bridgewater, VT.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Lionel and Dorothy (Daggett) Taillon.
Dennis worked as a Welder for Electric Boat in Quonset for more than 27 years. He was an active member of Pascoag Fire Department, Hose Company #2 since 1990.
BELLINGHAM- Juliette T. (Plouffe) Pinsonneault, 90, of Bellingham, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston, MA with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene R. Pinsonneault.
