Frank DiOrio Jr.
WARWICK- Frank DiOrio Jr., 58, of Warwick, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Husband and best friend to Marjorie DiOrio; the beloved son of Juliette (Santagata) Cardogno, and the late, Frank DiOrio Sr. A loving father to his children, Jason, Michael and Christy DiOrio, and Brian Rector. An inspiring brother to his two sisters Donna Sieta and Valerie Cachiotto. Frank also leaves behind 2 beautiful grandchildren, Isabella and Ava.
A retired custom car builder, Frank was a master carpenter who enjoyed restoring and renovating old homes.
Florence R. Yozura
WOONSOCKET- Florence R. Yozura, 92, of Woonsocket, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late George "Jake" Yozura.
Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosealma (LaBonte) Tatro. She was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Yozura was employed for many years at the Falls Yarn Company in Woonsocket before her retirement in 1981.
Florence was a former member of the St. Louis Senior Citizens Club. She will be remembered as being a devoted wife and mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother.
WOONSOCKET — Two men have been arrested and a third remains at large in the theft of an assault rifle in a house break on Pine Street last month, police said.
Emmanuel Rodriguez, 18, was arrested on a warrant for breaking and entering after a SWAT team surrounded his house on Cedar Street in Pawtucket on Friday.
WOONSOCKET — The deal is done, and the price isn't as bad as officials had feared. But it's still pretty bad: 7.125 percent.
That's the payback interest rate on the $11.5 million deficit reduction bond the city sold yesterday to Lord, Abbett & Co., a private investment management company headquartered in Memphis, Tenn.

Five boys’ and two girls’ teams will begin their quests for championship glory this weekend when their best-of-three quarterfinal round series get under way at hockey rinks scattered throughout the state.
In Division I, Mount St. Charles Academy will pursue its fourth straight state title. The Mounties are the top seed and will face eighth-seeded Smithfield on Friday at 9 p.m. at Adelard Arena and again on Saturday at 8 at the Smithfield Ice Rink.
Donald C. Laliberte
FRANKLIN- Donald C. Laliberte, 81, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Maples Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, following a long illness. He was the husband of Jeanne L. (Richards) Laliberte.
Born in Woonsocket, January 10, 1930 a son of the late Joseph and Leona (Dyke)Laliberte. He was educated in local schools, and was a retired self employed carpenter.
Jesse J. Grant, Jr.
BANGOR, ME - Jesse J. Grant Jr, 67, of Bangor, formerly of North Smithfield, R.I. passed away Feb. 25, 2011, at a local nursing home after an extended illness. He was born October 16, 1943 in Bangor, the son of Hilda (Harris) and Jesse J. Grant Sr.
Marcel Desroches
CUMBERLAND- Marcel Desroches, 70, of Sleepy Hollow Drive, passed away Tuesday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Florence (Dupplessis) Deroches.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph Arcade and Doria (Leblanc) McGlaughlin. He was the fiance of Janice Tessier of West Warwick.
He resided in Cumberland for the past 45 years.
He was the owner and operator of the Look 'N See Optical Shop in Woonsocket for 33 years.
Richard O. Plante
DELRAY BEACH, FL- Richard O. Plante, 77, of Delray Beach, born in Pawtucket, RI went to be with our Lord on February 27, 2011. He leaves behind a loving wife, Doris Plante, who has celebrated 57 years of marriage with him.

Pimental Jr.
WOONSOCKET- Nelson F. Pimental Jr. 61, of Dulude Ave. died Monday, February 28, 2011 in Rhode Island Hospital with his family by his side.
He was the former husband of Aline (Martel) Pimental, of Woonsocket.
Born in Bamberg, Germany, son of the late Nelson F. Pimental Sr. and Marie (Truechel) Pimental, of North Smithfield.
Mr. Pimental worked as a machinist for GAF Corporation, in Millis, Mass. before retiring.
He was a member of the Cercle Laurier.
