WOONSOCKET — A line of young girls with their parents poured out of the Depot on Saturday afternoon, as they waited to board a train taking them on an hour-long ride. But don’t be fooled, the young ones weren’t the guests of honor. Their dolls were.

CUMBERLAND— The Cumberland volleyball program has been one of the more predictable programs in the state over the last decade. When the Clippers find themselves in Division II-North, they are always successful – including a trip to the 2011 Division II title match against Exeter-West Greenwich.

But, when the Clippers are moved up to Division I to face state powers like Mount St. Charles, East Providence and Coventry, they struggle.

TIVERTON — The Tayes and Tupper Show will be on full display at football fields around the Ocean State all autumn.

The defending Division IV champion Burrillville football team opened up league play Saturday night at Tiverton and senior wide receiver Riley Tupper and senior running back Zack Tayes were simply unstoppable.
