WOONSOCKET - Lorraine R. (St. Germain) Hopp, 71, of Front St, died July 15, 2014 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Adrien and Jeannette (Renaud) St. Germain. She was the wife of the late George Hopp.
Lorraine had worked at ACS Industries for thirty years, retiring in 1987. She was a cat lover and enjoyed playing Bingo and card games.

CUMBERLAND – Twenty-four hours after their epic, come-from-behind 9-6 victory over gritty Lincoln in the District IV championship game, it was back to business as usual for the Cumberland American All-Stars.
 
They returned to practice at their Garvin Field home on Tuesday night, ready to move on from one of the most exciting and memorable contests in R.I. Little League Tournament history.

WOONSOCKET - Lisa A. Ganusko 57, passed away July 8, 2014 at home. She was the wife of Robert J. Ganusko Jr. Lisa was born in New Haven, CT a daughter of the late Michael and Sharon (Reed) Mancuso. She worked as a salesclerk for several years and as a CNA but mostly she was a loving homemaker. Lisa loved animals, art, music, and cooking.

Calling hours in Woonsocket, Rhode Island will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chester, SC with Father David Runnion officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - Patricia D. (Barber) Vanasse, 63, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Richard Vanasse. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Barbara (Patterson) Barber.
Patricia worked for Verizon Communications for 30 years before her retirement. She loved to travel with her family, take walks at her beloved sea wall in Narragansett, and spend quality time with her grandchildren.

WOONSOCKET - Rinaldo R. Spinella, 88, of Blue Stone Dr., passed away on July, 16, 2014 in Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Francesca (Pino) Spinella.
Mr. Spinella worked for the former New England Telephone Company, now Verizon in various positions for forty-two years. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Woonsocket crash victim’s car becomes a shrine as many pay their respects

WOONSOCKET – Sone and Chip Ratsamy have been watching the transformation since their son, Simon, was killed in a violent car crash a week ago.
Parked across the street from their quaint cottage on Park Avenue, his sleek, black Honda Civic has become a shrine, the hood now completely hidden by bouquets of roses, carnations and other flowers.

Friends, and total strangers, too, have been piling on the floral tributes since the aspiring paramedic, 21 years old, passed away.
