Valerie B. Tellier
BURRILLVILLE- Valerie B. (Manteau) Tellier, 99, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late J. Oliver Tellier.
Born in Harrisville, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bernadette (Clapprood) Manteau.
Valerie worked as a Kitchen/Dietary Aide at Zambarano Hospital of Pascoag for many years.
Rev. Norman S.
BROCKPORT- Rev. Norman S. Farrington, 98, of Brockport, went home to be with his Lord, Saturday (March 10, 2012), at The Villages of Orleans, Albion, NY.
Norman was born November 2, 1913, in Protection, NY, a son of the late Millard and Pearl Stephans Farrington. He Pastored for over 60 years. Norman was predeceased by his loving wife, Marian Lawton Farrington.
WOONSOCKET- Beatrice B. Courchesne 82, formerly of Clinton St. died Monday at Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Frederic and Bernadette (Forget) Courchesne.
She was a weaver for the Hartford Mills in Mendon, MA for twenty five years retiring in 1995. Beatrice was a member of the Child of Mary at St. Ann's Church.
She is survived by her caretaker and close friend David Aubin and his wife Nancy of Woonsocket and several cousins.
Cecil H. Lane, Jr.
BLACKSTONE- Cecil H. Lane, Jr., 73, of Blackstone, MA, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Blackstone Nursing Home in Blackstone, MA.
He was born January 22, 1939, son of the late Cecil H. and Rose Martha (Clark) Lane Sr.
BURRILLVILLE- Clarence "Babe" Nydam, 73, died Friday, March 9, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Whitinsville, Mass., he was the son of the late John and Clara (Visser) Nydam.
Babe spent his high school years in Cranston, R.I., where he was an all-state football player and met his wife, Barbara (Etter) Nydam, of Glendale.
Paul V. Rossato
Woonsocket - Paul V. Rossato, 55, died March 5, 2012. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Plinio and Evelyn Rossato.
Paul was a 1975 graduate of Woonsocket High School, where he was a sprinter running the 100 yd dash and the recipient of many awards. He also attended the University of Rhode Island.
Gerard N. Laplante
Woonsocket -Gerard N. Laplante 78, of Front St. died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Jeannine (Cote) Laplante. Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Henry and Aldea (Tessier) Laplante. Mr. Laplante served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was the parts manager for Garelick Farms for over twenty years retiring in 1996. Gerry was a coach and president of the Woonsocket Pre-teen Football League for twenty five years, he also served as president of the Woonsocket Pony League for twenty years.
Ohio- Carl Renaud, age 57, of Summit Rd. in South West, Pataskala, Ohio, died, Saturday March 10, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Roberta (Andrews) Renaud.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Philip S. and Jeannette (Fichesser) Renaud.
Carl worked as a Commercial manager of Auto Zone in Ohio, for several years. He also was the former Owner of British Parts Locator in Cumberland, for several years.
PROVIDENCE â€” Minutes after Mount St. Charles dropped a 5-2 decision to rival Hendricken High in a game that would have delivered to the Mounties their 43rd state title in school history, mentor Bill Belisle stood in a corner of his bench area accepting congratulations from folks of all ages.
When someone asked how proud he was of the players he and son Dave Belisle coach, the very images of Mount hockey since the mid-1970s, just smiled and nodded.

The Hawks, who had lost to the Mounties in three of the last four title series, were finally able to take home a championship at their rivalâ€™s expense before a full house at Providence Collegeâ€™s Schneider Arena by grabbing a 5-2 win.
