Jeannine Pelletier

LYNCHBURG, VA- Jeannine Pelletier, 79 of Lynchburg, died after a brief illness July 1, 2011. She was married to the late Royal Joseph Pelletier.
She was born December 9, 1931 in Lincoln, RI the daughter of the late Amedee Fournier and Irene Caron Fournier.
She retired with over thirty five years of service from the U.S. Postal Service.
In addition to her parents and husband Jeannine was preceded in death by her son Ronald Pelletier and brother Raymond Fournier.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Pew and her husband Richard of Forest.

PROVIDENCE- Suzanne B. (Gonyea) Potter, 47, died Wednesday Aug. 3, 2011 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket she is the daughter of Edgar J. Gonyea of Harrisville and the late Blanche J. (Robillard) Gonyea.
Suzanne lived in Burrillville for many years.
She loved walking, riding her bike, the outdoors, fishing and the Ocean.

Loving husband of 48 years to Jo Ann (St. Hilaire) Rondeau.
Born Jan. 25, 1937, a son of the late Emile & Rita (Sene) Rondeau.

Landmark Medical Center planning 'small' staff cuts

WOONSOCKET – Financially struggling Landmark Medical Center announced Thursday that “small cuts” in personnel are coming to the city hospital and the affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island to bring manpower in line with patient volume.
The hospital said the cuts mean services at Atwood Therapy in Johnston would be discontinued entirely. Patients will be steered to other Landmark facilities for treatment.

BRISTOL, Conn. – While his two-run homer in the fifth inning proved to be the eventual game-winner on Thursday, that wasn’t the main reason that Dave Belisle was smiling.
It was what Chris Wright did as a reliever - particularly in the bottom of the sixth - that had the Cumberland American manager beaming with the most pride after his team’s hard-earned 8-7 semifinal victory over Fairfield (Ct.) American in the New England portion of the Eastern Regional Tournament.

Police ID man found fatally shot in trunk

LINCOLN – The victim of an execution-style slaying whose body was found in the trunk of a car parked at the edge of Lincoln Woods State Park Wednesday has been identified as Ronny Almonte.
State police said Almonte was 25 years old and had addresses in both Pawtucket and Providence.
With hands tied behind his back with a strip of cloth and multiple gunshot wounds to the head, Almonte's body was found in the trunk of a Chevy Impala parked on the shoulder of Twin River Road after a park caretaker saw blood on the bumper of the abandoned vehicle.

Filmmaker visits home to take in some flicks

LINCOLN — Ron Truppa sat at a table in his parents' expansive, luxurious home late Tuesday morning and admitted, with a chuckle, that he one day aspired to be the governor of Rhode Island.
He never quite achieved that lofty position, though says he's having a blast as a Hollywood film writer, producer and director.
The 36-year-old former Lincolnite also owns TRUPPA Entertainment, a production company based in Sherman Oaks, Calif. that produces films, television pitches, scripts, public service announcements and commercials.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Florence E. Tetreault, 58, of North Smithfield, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of Evelyn (Gaudreau) Tetreault of Woonsocket and the late Roland Tetreault.
She lived most of her life in Woonsocket until moving to North Smithfield 9 years ago.
Ms. Tetreault was employed in the housekeeping department at the Fogarty Hospital for many years.
Florence was a very family-oriented person and always made herself available to care for children, especially her nieces and nephews.

WOONSOCKET- Janet M. (Mousseau) Vitale 55 of Woonsocket, died Sunday at home.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Albert and Lucille (Devish) Mousseau.
She was the wife of Assi Adopo of Connecticut. She was a registered nurse, working at Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield for many years before retiring two years ago due to illness.

Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 22, 1936, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Mary (Blais) Farrell.
