John F. Howard
GLOCESTER- Howard, John F., 83, a lifelong resident of Harmony, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Hirst) Howard.
Born in Harmony, he was a son of the late Arthur W. and Nellie (Cook) Howard.

Normand R. Dansereau
WOONSOCKET- Normand R. Dansereau 82, of Logee St. died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Dagesse) Dansereau.
Mr. Dansereau was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Euclide and Ida (Soucy) Dansereau.
He was a mechanic for Owens Corning Fiberglas in Ashton for thirty years before retiring in 1983. He then worked part time as a security guard for the Woonsocket Medical Center for six years. Mr. Dansereau was member of the Knights of Columbus. Normand enjoyed the outdoors and spent many years camping.
WARWICK- Barbara Lavergne, 90, of Warwick Ave. and formerly of Plainville, MA and Bellingham died Thursday in the Heritage Hills Nursing Center, Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of Marcel Lavergne for the past 44 years.
Born in Green Valley, CA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Aires) Dow.
She was employed by the Amprex Electronics Co., Slatersville for 15 years until her retirement.
Besides her beloved husband she leaves a niece Diane Walach and great nephew Craig Walach both of Warwick.

Junior Paul Brusciniâ€™s first goal of the year and senior goalie Cody Phillipsâ€™ marvelous 35-save performance enabled Lincoln High to grab a 1-1 tie with Division I foe La Salle Academy late Monday night in a rare home game for the Lions at the Smithfield Ice Rink.
Before this draw, there were 19 Division I games that pitted public schools against parochial schools and the parochials captured all 19 meetings, 12 of them by six or more goals.
CUMBERLAND â€“ Wrestling season inside the state of Rhode Island doesnâ€™t really get serious until the middle of January. A few of the top teams use the first six weeks of the season to test themselves outside the state in weekend tournaments against elite competition from around New England.
Thatâ€™s the route Cumberland High coach Steve Gordon has chosen over the years. This season, his defending state champions have won tournaments in Connecticut and Massachusetts before finishing third last Saturday in the prestigious Redskin Invitational up in Sanford, Maine.

A Memorial Service and Interment will be in Bourne National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 11:00 am Jan 14, 2011. All family and friends are welcome to attended.
Shirley C. Trinque
WOONSOCKET- Shirley C. (LaSalle) Trinque 74, of Mendon Rd. died Sunday at the Phillip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Roger Trinque.
Mrs. Trinque was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late George and Loretta (Gosselin)LaSalle.
She was a machine operator for McGill Box in Plainville, MA for thirty years retiring in 1980. Shirley was an avid bingo enthusiast.

Born in Brooklyn, NY in February of 1927.
Loving husband of Arlene (Rosen) Wang since 1951.
Devoted father of three children: Scott Wang M.D. of Jamestown, RI and his wife Carol, Beth Nast of Wellesley, MA and her husband William, and David Wang of Medfield, MA and his wife Deborah. Proud grandfather of Joshua & Rachael Wang, Adam, Nathan & Jared Nast and Benjamin & Samuel Wang. Close brother-in-law of Bernard Margolis of Delray, FL.
