Drug kingpin gets 25 years

WOONSOCKET — A homegrown kingpin of the crack cocaine trade drew 22 years of federal prison time when he was sentenced on drug-trafficking and conspiracy charges in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
Robert O. Robinson, 30, was the leader and organizer of a drug-distribution network he ran out of Talu’s Cafe on Willow Street, federal prosecutors said.

Democratic challenger Ryan Pearson sent out a mailing to voters in the district earlier this month, criticizing incumbent Republican Bethany Moura’s absences and missed votes in the last two years. On one side, the cardboard flyer said “If you missed work as much as Beth Moura…You’d be fired!” Below that was a picture of Trump, pointing an accusatory-looking finger, along with his signature line “You’re fired!” from his TV show “The Apprentice.”
