WOONSOCKET – There was a bonus for the police at the end of a trail that led to a man wanted for domestic assault. Just as officers closed in on Steve E. Beaulieu, another man was tossing a backpack containing $1,450 worth of cocaine and marijuana out the window, police said.
The episode unfolded in Apt. No. 3 at 174 Robinson St. Tuesday, said Detective Lt. Eugene Jalette, the police spokesman.
