WOONSOCKET — Nobody would ever think about splitting up Peter, Paul and Mary or firing one of the Three Stooges.
But it looks like the end of an era for one of the most famous trios in the city and — you guessed it — money is what’s pulling them apart.

WOONSOCKET — Boston-based Steward Health Care System now has until Aug. 31 to close on the sale of financially-troubled Landmark Medical Center and Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island.
In a statement released late Monday, Amy Kempe, spokeswoman for State Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin, said Steward Health Care's request to waive Kilmartin's condition that the closing on the sale take place 60 days from the date of his May 25 decision to approve the sale was “denied.”
