Fernandes banks on retaining wall to protect River Falls from rising water

WOONSOCKET – Gary Fernandes is thinking big again at his River Falls Complex at Market Square.

Fernandes and his development company have been hard at work completing a long-planned patio and walkway around the back of the early-1800s mill building that he had started planning more than six years ago.

As a result of the remapping of voting districts, the city’s total number of polling places has shrunk from 16 to 11, according to Estelle Corriveau, manager of the Board of Canvassers.
In addition to losing six polling places, one new one was added – Woonsocket Middle School at Hamlet, 60 Florence Drive.
