Jason Nickerson, 31, was sentenced to 60 years in all, with 50 to serve on each of four counts of first-degree sexual assault and the balance suspended, the attorney generalâs office said.

But Capt. Michael A. Morin, fire marshal for the Woonsocket Fire Department, stopped short of calling the school âa fire trap,â as Schools Supt. Giovanna Donoyan did recently.
âThatâs her opinion, thatâs fine,â said Morin. âThereâs no inherent danger to life there. What there are, are code violations and thereâs a process to get those corrected.â
