BREAKING NEWS: Fire damages garage in Lincoln

LINCOLN -- Firefighters doused a blaze at 6 Winterberry Court Tuesday night after a freezer in the garage at the home started to smoke and then caught fire sending flames shooting through the roof of the structure. The fire started at about 7:30 p.m. No one was injured. For details and photos pick up Wednesday’s newspaper.

Assault victim dies

WOONSOCKET – A man who was hospitalized after fighting with his roommate outside a Fairmount bar on Friday died at Rhode Island Hospital two days later, the police disclosed Tuesday.
Police spokeswoman Detective Jamie Paone declined to identify the victim, saying the investigation is continuing. But she said the roommate, Alan Klemanchuck, 58, of Woonsocket, presently faces charges of domestic felony assault.
