Jeannine B. Cote
WOONSOCKET - Jeannine B. Cote, of Woonsocket, died Saturday at Mt. St. Francis Health Center with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Leo N. Cote. They were married on June 22, 1946.
Born in Gentilly, P.Q. Canada, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Antonia (Baril) Durand. She came to the United States with her family in 1923 and was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School, Class of 1936.
Leo R. Paul
WOONSOCKET - Leo R. Paul, 99, of St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield, RI, formerly of Meadow Rd. and Burnside Ave., Woonsocket, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 19, 2010 surrounded by the people who loved him.
He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Grenon) Paul. Born April 21, 1911 in Woonsocket, he was one of ten children of Calixte and Rosilda (Breault) Paul. He was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Gerard R. Salvas
BURRILLVILLE - Gerard R. (Jerry) Salvas, 66, resident of Pascoag, passed away Nov. 18, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.
Loving husband of 48 years to Mary Ann (Rose) Salvas.
Jerry was a long haul truck driver for 30 years; his latest was delivering mail up and down the east coast. He was a US Navy Veteran.
Shirley A. Blanchard
WOONSOCKET - Shirley A. Blanchard 71, of Diamond Hill Rd., died Thursday at Landmark Medical Center. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Wigglesworth) Gosselin. Shirley was a piece worker for the former Miller Electric Co. for thirty years before retiring fifteen years ago.
William D. Maher Jr.
BLACKSTONE - William D. Maher Jr., 82,of Blackstone, MA died Thursday, November 18, 2007 in St. Vincents Hospital, Worcester, MA after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Margaret (OBrien) Maher who passed away in November of 2003. Born in Woonsocket, RI he was the son of the late William D. and Evelyn (Kelly) Maher Sr.
Phyllis M. Masi
FRANKLIN- Phyllis M. (Mucciarone) Masi 74, of Franklin, passed away peacefully Wednesday November 17, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ralph V. "Butch" Masi for 51 years.
Born in Franklin, July 19, 1936 a daughter of the late Felix A. "Tony" Mucciarone and Adrienne (Levasseur) Mucciarone, she was raised and educated in Franklin where she was a 1954 graduate of Franklin High School. She was also a graduate of Mary Brooks Junior College in Boston.
Muriel C. Rosati
WOONSOCKET- Muriel C. (Pimental) Rosati, 74, resident of Third Ave., Woonsocket, died Nov. 17, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the long time friend of Pauline McElreath.
Born Nov. 1, 1936 in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Manuel F. and Angelina A. (Paul) Pimental. She was a life long city resident.
Muriel worked as a packer for A.T. Cross in Lincoln for many years before retiring.
She was a life member of the VFW, American Legion and the Amvets Post 7 Axillary.
Mary M. Arsenault
MILLVILLE- Mary M. (Clouart) Arsenault, 93, of West St. died Thursday Nov. 18, 2010 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. She was the wife of the late William A. Arsenault who died in 1981.
Mrs. Arsenault was employed at Woonsocket Hospital for 25 years until retiring in 1978.
A resident of Millville for most of her life, she was born April 8, 1917 in Blackstone, the daughter of the late William and Mary (McDonald) Clouart and was a graduate of Blackstone High School.
Emile J. "Spike"
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Emile J. Spike Fafard III, 61, resident of North Smithfield, passed away November 17, 2010, at his trophy home that he built.
Loving husband of 43 years to Rev. Diane J. (Bourcier) Fafard.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of Edith (Minot) Fafard and the late Emile Fafard.
Spike's life was committed by his love for deer hunting for the past 42 years. He currently holds the record for the largest shed antlers found in RI. Emile worked as the maintenance supervisor and did major engineering work for over 20 years at Jannell Truck Bodies,
Bertha P. Boucher
CUMBERLAND- Bertha P. Boucher, 99, resident of Cumberland, passed away on Nov. 17, 2010 at the Ballou Home in Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family.
Loving wife of the late Ernest N. Boucher.
Born in North Smithfield a daughter of the late Antoine & MaryAnne (Girard) Picher.
Bertha was a registered nurse for Dr. Gauthier and the former Woonsocket Hospital retiring in 1976.
She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Christine Bonas of North Smithfield, Michael Boucher of Charleston SC., her two great grandsons, Michael & Matthew Bonas both of North Smithfield.
