Regina Lauzon
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Regina Lauzon 92, formerly of Woodlawn Rd. North Smithfield died Saturday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late J. Armand Lauzon.
Mrs. Lauzon was born in Notre Dame de Bois, P Q Canada a daughter of the late Acadius and Adelia (Theberge) Audet.
She was a cloth inspector for Lincoln Textile Co. for many years before retiring twenty seven years ago. She was a member of the Holy Family Christian Group, St. Agatha's Senior Citizen's and the Ladies Guild at Holy Family Church.
Pauline M. Brault
BURRILLVILLE - Pauline M. Brault, 86, formerly of Mapleville, passed away Sunday morning, December 26, 2010 at Steere House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Providence.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Norman J. Brault.
Born in Woonsocket, Pauline was the eldest of three children of the late Romeo & Esperance (Malboeuf) Robert.
She was a resident of Burrillville since 1999; previously living in Woonsocket.
Martha Mowry Smith
WOONSOCKET- Martha Mowry Smith was blessed with energy and a loving spirit. These she gave freely and unconditionally to all. She was the mother that everyone wanted. "God is Love," she often said. This was a contract that she lived every day. She was a writer of family history, an enthusiastic piano player and a generous giver of joy. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of many, many people.
Martha was born in Woonsocket and lived most of her 101 years in North Smithfield.
Kathan M. Brouillard
BURRILLVILLE- Kathan M. (Dorsey) Brouillard, 79, died Sunday Dec. 26, 2010 in Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag.
Born in Burlington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Irene (Looby) Dorsey.
Kathan worked as a secretary for the state Probation & Parole for 35 years, she also worked at Zambarano Hospital. She was an active member of the Democratic Town Party for many years.
Sister Lina Poirier
MARLBOROUGH- Sister Lina Poirier, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sister Mary Joseph of Jesus, died at the age of 98 at Marie Esther Health Center in this city on December 24, 2010. She was in the 76th year of religious life.
Emily T. Burrows
WOONSOCKET- Emily T. (LaPointe) Burrows 81, of Cumberland St. died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Earl Burrows. Mrs. Burrows was born in Barrington a daughter of the late Rudolph and Bertha (Pollette) LaPointe. She worked as a molder for Tupperware for many years and a cook for the Enrico Caruso club for three years before retiring in 1990.
James F. Courtney
BELLINGHAM- James F. Courtney, 81, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2010 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband for 56 years of Bernice P. (Forsythe) Courtney.
He was the loving father of Linda D. Selima and her husband Charles of Woonsocket, RI, Sandra M. Courtney of Hopedale, MA, Teresa E. Sousa and her husband Anthony of Hudson, MA and Mary F. Courtney of Bellingham, MA; and his 10 cherished grandchildren.
Anna A. Basan
WOONSOCKET- Anna A. Basan, 95, a resident of the Ballou Home, Mendon Rd, passed away peacefully on Thursday at the Ballou Home.
Born May 24, 1915 in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Andrew & Julia (Lapiniak) Basan, she resided in Woonsocket all her life.
Bernard J. Keegan
BURRILLVILLE- Bernard J. Keegan, 89, of Harrisville, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Loretta C. (Tetreault) Keegan.
Born in Harrisville, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Rhea (Cabana) Keegan.
Bernard worked in the textile industry and also as an arborist. He served in the US Navy for 6 years and was a Veteran of WWII.
Constance D.
Carrigan
CUMBERLAND- Constance D. Carrigan 81, died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Thomas John Carrigan. Mrs. Carrigan resided in Washington DC for over forty years before returning to Cumberland in 1992.
She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Doria and Corinne (Ladouceur) Laperle. Mrs. Carrigan worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement eighteen years ago. She graduated valedictorian of Blackstone High School in 1947 and then graduated from Forsythe Boston, MA in 1949.
