MANVILLE- Anna (Tyniak) Levy, 96, a resident of the Holiday Nursing Home and formerly of Chestnut St., Manville passed away peacefully on Monday at the Holiday.
Born: Dec. 21, 1913 in Manville, daughter of the late Paul & Catherine (Romaniczn) Tyniak, she resided in Manville all her life.
Anna was a sewer at the former Sadwin's Co. before retiring she previously was employed at other textile manufacturing Co's.
She was a communicant of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church of Woonsocket and member of the Parish Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed knitting & reading.
Richard R. Lavallee
MILLVILLE- Richard R. "Rich" Lavallee, 53, of Chestnut Hill Rd., Millville, died Saturday at the Rose Monahan Hospice Center in Worcester.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Jeannette (Ethier) Lavallee of Millville and the late Louis J. Lavallee. He was a resident of Millville for most of his life and also resided in Uxbridge. He was a graduate of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School.
Rich was employed by Poly Vinyl Corp in Sutton, MA for over 30 years.
He was a student and practitioner of karate.
Doris L. Harpin
CUMBERLAND- Doris L. (Lafleur) Harpin, 83, formerly of 1 Flat Street died Sunday, November 7, 2010 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Roland L. Harpin.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Alice (Harpin) Lafleur, she had lived in Woonsocket for most of her life moving to Cumberland 24 years ago.
Mrs. Harpin was a sales clerk at Ann & Hope and Rathbun Outlet for 50 years, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of the Riverside Tenants Association and a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland.
Robert E. Tessier
BELLINGHAM- Robert E. Tessier, 73, of Bellingham, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center with family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 26 years of Claudette L. (Lussier) Tessier.
Born in Woonsocket on March 18, 1937, he was the son of the late Eldege and Yvonne (Beausoleil) Tessier.
MANVILLE- Simone Leclerc, 85, of Old River Rd., Manville, died Sunday at South County Hospital. She was the wife of Germain A. Leclerc. They were married on September 4, 1948.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Michel and Rosa (Pontbriand) Laprade. She was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mrs. Leclerc worked for Miller Electric in Woonsocket for several years before dedicating herself to being a homemaker.
Simone's life centered on her family and being an active parishioner of St. James Church.
Alice M. Cote
BURRILLVILLE- Alice M. Cote, 89, died November 8, 2010 at Overlook Nursing Home.
She was born in Woonsocket on October 28, 1921 to Archille and Aldea (St. Germain) Cournoyer. Mrs. Cote was the loving wife of late Aram A. Cote.
She worked as a bench worker for Hillsinger Corporation in Plainville, MA. where they made eyeglass accessories.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Laprade of Harrisville, and one sister Yvette Barris of Cumberland, and one step sister Claire LaFlamme. She has 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Ronald R. Morin Sr.
WOONSOCKET- Ronald (Blanc) R. Morin, 56, of Woonsocket, passed away on October 21, 2010 in Stuart, FL.
Born in Woonsocket , the son of the late Albert and Edna (Chasse) Morin.
Owen W. "Mickey" Emery Jr.
BELLINGHAM- Owen W. "Mickey" Emery Jr., 64, of Bellingham, MA died Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A.B. "Liz" Emery for 18 years.
Born in Milford, MA on October 29, 1946, he was the son of Owen W. Sr. and Nancy (Haughey) Emery of Franklin, MA.
NO. SMITHFIELD- Elaine Dorothy (Girard) Pizzarelli, 86, of No. Smithfield, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Lewis F. Pizzarelli.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Anita (Laperche) Girard.
Therese M. Haines
BLACKSTONE- Therese M. Haines, 79, of Blackstone, MA died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Beaumont Nursing Home, Northbridge, MA. She was the wife of the late David B. Haines.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI daughter of the late Honore and Mary Louise (Fontaine) Faubert.
Mrs. Haines was employed for many years by C.D. Burns and Linden Clock Factory where she repaired cookoo clocks. She loved quilting and collecting ceramic mice.
