John W. Sullivan
HARRISVILLE- John W. Sullivan of Harrisville, Rhode Island, formerly of Reading passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Overlook Nursing Center in Pascoag, Rhode Island. He was 90 years of age.
Born in Boston, John was the loving son of the late William and Mary Sullivan and Gerald and Barbara Goggin. John was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.
WOONSOCKET- Norbert R. "Nibby" Moreau Sr. 63, of Second Ave. died Thursday at Mt. St. Francis Health Center.
He was born in Pawtucket a son of the late Leo Moreau and Theresa Gaulin.
Nibby worked as a tool setter before becoming disabled. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Joseph, M. Richard
CUMBERLAND- RICHARD, Joseph, M. 85, of Diamond Hill Rd, passed away November 3, 2010. He was the husband of Theresa (Robideau) Richard, they would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary on November 27th.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Raoul and Lillian (Berger) Richard.
He had been employed as an electrician at the Newport Navy Base, and previously Natick Labs and at the Navy base at Quonset Point. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII service as a Chief Petty officer first class from 1942 to 1946
Robert A. Cadieux
BELLINGHAM- Robert A. Cadieux, 78, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Woonsocket Health Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Irene C. (Belanger) Cadieux.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on September 27, 1932, he was the son of the late Alfred and Cora (Thibeault) Cadieux.
WARWICK- Katherine J. Bockstael, 56, of Eastgate Drive, Warwick, died on Tuesday, at RI Hospital.
Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Alice (Segee) Brown. Katherine is survived by a son; Scott P. Fortune, one daughter; Georgette L. Leduc, two brothers; Daniel and Terrence Brown, two sisters; Doretta Brown and Deborah Dixon and five grandchildren. She was the companion of Ron Coutu.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home, 721 Washington St., Coventry. For condolences visit
Cynthia Bravender Walenty
MILFORD- Cynthia Bravender (Ray) Walenty, aged 74 years, longtime resident of Uxbridge, MA, passed away at Milford Hospital on Sunday, October 31, 2010. She was daughter to Florence R Smith and Louis P Ray, born in Boston on March 4, 1936 and raised in Franklin, where she attended Dean Academy. She also attended Berkeley School of Music.
Robert J. Wisniowski
NORTH UXBRIDGE- Robert J. Wisniowski, 63, of William Ward St. died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 in the St. Camillus Health Care Center, Whitinsville.
Mr. Wisniowski was employed for the Stop & Shop in Bellingham for 11 years.
He was born Feb. 3, 1947 in Pawtucket, RI, the son of the late John S. and Eleanor N. (Stankiewicz) Wisniowski. He was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1964 and had attended Becker Jr. College in Worcester.
WOONSOCKET- Roland E. Chamberland, 88, of 400 Mendon Rd., died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Doris A. (Brunetti) Chamberland whom he married May 11, 1946.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Fabien and Alexina (Bourque) Chamberland.
Thomas A. Gilman
WOONSOCKET- Thomas A. Gilman 65, of East School St. died October 18, 2010 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Dorothy (Lamoore) Gilman.
Mr. Gilman was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Alvin and Irene (Ravenelle) Gilman.
He worked in various manufacturing companies.
Rita R. Wright
CRANSTON- Rita R. Wright, R.N., 89, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Village House in Newport. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry E. Wright.
Born in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Narcisse and Rosealba (Peloquin) Ducharme, she had lived in Cranston for over fifty years and was a summer resident of Jamestown for many years.
Mrs. Wright was a registered nurse who worked for the State of Rhode Island at the Institute of Mental Health and previously at the state hospital before retiring in 1981.
