Gerald E. Thiebault
DANIELSON, CT- Gerald E. Thiebault, 61, of Danielson, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Shirley A. (Rousseau) Thiebault; and four stepchildren, Robert, James, Melissa and Kelly Abram.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI, a son of Edward and Gertrude (Durand) Thiebault.
He graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1968 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College in North Smithfield, RI.
Maurice W. Jobin
WOONSOCKET- Maurice W. Jobin, 92, formerly of Mitris Blvd., Woonsocket, died Saturday at Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was the loving husband of Therese (Carmel) Jobin. Mr. & Mrs. Jobin were married on December 11, 1944 and celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last week.
Born in Blackstone, he was a son of the late Henri and Lillian (Dalpe) Jobin.
Mr. Jobin graduated from Blackstone High School and Hill College. He also received part of his education at the seminary in St. Victorie P.Q. Canada.
Charles W.
Godlewski
CUMBERLAND- Charles W. Godlewski 67, passed away Monday December 19, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Central Falls he was the beloved son of the late Charles F. and Helen A. (Bobola) Godlewski.
Charlie's greatest joy in life was his yearly overnight stay at Foxwoods for his birthday. He also enjoyed taking part in the Special Olympics and bowling. But most of all he loved going to his workshop at Homestead (now Seven Hills). He was also a member of Northern RI ARC of Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland.
Roger P. Lafontaine
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Roger P. Lafontaine, 53, of Harkness Rd., passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Roger E. Lafontaine of North Smithfield and the late Lorraine (Gerlache) Lafontaine.
Roger was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved NASCAR and was a huge fan of the New England Patriots. He also recently received an honorary lifetime membership to the Sayles Hill Rod and Gun Club in North Smithfield.
James R. Nichols
WOONSOCKET- James R. Nichols, 67, of Knollwood Drive, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Irene M. (Morrissette) Nichols whom he married August 31, 1968.
Born in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Emile and Aurore (Rondeau) Nichols.

Lavimodiere
LINCOLN- Mildred J. Lavimodiere 83, died Friday at The Holiday in Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Roland V. Lavimodiere.
Born in Lawton, OK, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Gladys (Simmons) Brillon.
Mrs. Lavimodiere worked at the former Hanora Spinning Co. for many years. She was a member of the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary.
Walter C. Tyks
BLACKSTONE- Walter C. Tyks, 86, of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Oakland Grove Health Ctr. In Woonsocket with his family by his side. He was the loving husband to Frances (Laczka) Tyks. Mr. & Mrs. Tyks celebrated their 63rd wedding aniversary on September 11th.
Born Dec. 25, 1924, in Blackstone, he was the son of the late Joseph & Katherine (Didto) Tyks. he resided in Blackstone all his life.
Rita B. Mathieu
WOONSOCKET- Rita B. (Plouffe) Mathieu, 88, of Woonsocket, died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 65 years, Kenneth A. Mathieu, Sr., predeceased her.
Born in North Smithfield, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Menard) Plouffe.
Thomas J. Furno
DOUGLAS- Thomas J. "Louie" Furno, 81, of Riddlebrook Apts., formerly of Depot St. died Fri. Dec. 16 after an illness. His beloved wife of 51 years Clarassia (Farrar) Furno died May 10, 2011.
Jeannette M. Benoit
LINCOLN- Jeannette M. Benoit, 65, of Lincoln, died Wednesday at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston after a courageous battle. She was the wife of Norman P. Benoit. They had been married 43 years.
Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of Marguerite (Bourbonniere) Blier of Smithfield and the late Albert D. Blier.
She is also survived by her sons Michael Benoit and his wife Laurie of N. Smithfield and Christopher Benoit and his wife Lisa of Cumberland, her sister Debra Blier of Morgan, VT and her grandchildren Kyle and Emily Benoit.
