Roland R. Senecal
WOONSOCKET- Roland R. Senecal, 88, resident of Woonsocket, died January 15, 2011, at the Mt. St. Francis Health Center.
Born June 28, 1922 in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late William & Linda (Brousseau) Senecal and Kathryn (Mallin) Senecal.
Roland E. Hudon
WOONSOCKET- Roland E. Hudon 65, of Rodman St. died Saturday at home. He was the husband of Doris (Boisvert) Hudon.
Roland was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Elphege and Marie (Cotnoir) Hudon.
He worked for the Providence and Worcester Railroad for thirty years as the maintenance manager, retiring in July of 2010. Roland was the former commander of the St. Joseph Veterans Club, he was an avid bowler and loved to play cards.
Lillian C. Lavallee
WOONSOCKET- Lillian C. (Dextraze) Lavallee, 89, of Woonsocket, died Friday, January 14, 2011 in The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Maurice R. Lavallee.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leo U. and Eugenia (Rivet) Dextraze. She lived in Woonsocket for most of her life.
Mrs. Lavallee worked as a Stitcher for American Tourister formerly of Albion and also worked for Woonsocket Spinning.
Yvette E. Coutu
CUMBERLAND- Yvette E. (Potvin) Coutu, 95, of Chimney Hill Apartments, passed away Friday, January 14, in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Rodolphe Coutu.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Moise and Arselia (Forand) Potvin and she was the last survivor of twelve siblings. She resided in Cumberland for the past 18 years, previously residing in Woonsocket.
Rita I. Mann
WOONSOCKET- Rita I. Mann, 83, formerly of Chateau Clare, entered into Eternal Life Thursday at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Melvin M. Mann.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Leandre and Yvonne (Lefrancois) L'Esperance. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Mann was employed at the Social Department Store for many years and was also an AVON representative.
Doris M. St. Germain
NORTH ATTLEBORO- Doris M. St. Germain 98, formerly of Woonsocket, N. Smithfield, and N. Ft. Myers, FL died Friday at the Madonna Manor in N. Attleboro, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Adelard St. Germain and a daughter Lorraine.
She was born April 9, 1912 in Woonsocket to Samuel and Laura (Chabot) Godon.
Amy T. Taddeo
WOONSOCKET- Amy T. (Slattery) Taddeo, 95, of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in Mt. St. Francis Health Center. She was the wife of the late Leo L. Taddeo. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Dwyer) Slattery.
Mrs. Taddeo was a homemaker who previously worked for the former Finklestein's and Royal Robes. She especially enjoyed needlepoint, sewing and baking.
LOVELL, MAINE- Catherine (Benoit) Marks died Wednesday, January 12 at home in Lovell, Maine, surrounded by family with her husband by her side. She was the wife of James J. Marks, formerly of North Smithfield Rhode Island, and daughter of Ernest Benoit (deceased) and Claire M. Poulin, wife of Charles A. Poulin of Millville, MA.
Catherine Benoit and James Marks were married at St. Augustine's Church on August 27th, 1977 in Millville, MA.
WOONSOCKET- Thomas Bardell, 90, of Woonsocket, died Jan. 11, 2011 at Oakland Grove Health Center. He was the husband of the late Lucy (Tellier) Bardell.
Born April 12, 1920 in Woonsocket, a son of the late Michael and Mary (Czemerda) Bardell.
He was a Navy Veteran of WW II and a Woonsocket Police Officer for 27 years.
He leaves a sister, Helen Eaton of No. Kingstown and also two godsons, Normand Bardell of Bellingham and Roger Gaulin of Woonsocket
CUMBERLAND -MARTELL, SISTER MARY ANDREA, 92, a Sister of Mercy and a retired educator, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre, Cumberland.
Born Helena Martell in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Bliss) Martell. She entered the Sisters of Mercy on September 8, 1935 and professed her vows on August 16, 1941.
