Walter C. Tyks
BLACKSTONE- Walter C. Tyks, 86, of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Oakland Grove Health Ctr. In Woonsocket with his family by his side. He was the loving husband to Frances (Laczka) Tyks. Mr. & Mrs. Tyks celebrated their 63rd wedding aniversary on September 11th.
Born Dec. 25, 1924, in Blackstone, he was the son of the late Joseph & Katherine (Didto) Tyks. he resided in Blackstone all his life.
Rita B. Mathieu
WOONSOCKET- Rita B. (Plouffe) Mathieu, 88, of Woonsocket, died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 65 years, Kenneth A. Mathieu, Sr., predeceased her.
Born in North Smithfield, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Menard) Plouffe.
Thomas J. Furno
DOUGLAS- Thomas J. "Louie" Furno, 81, of Riddlebrook Apts., formerly of Depot St. died Fri. Dec. 16 after an illness. His beloved wife of 51 years Clarassia (Farrar) Furno died May 10, 2011.
Jeannette M. Benoit
LINCOLN- Jeannette M. Benoit, 65, of Lincoln, died Wednesday at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston after a courageous battle. She was the wife of Norman P. Benoit. They had been married 43 years.
Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of Marguerite (Bourbonniere) Blier of Smithfield and the late Albert D. Blier.
She is also survived by her sons Michael Benoit and his wife Laurie of N. Smithfield and Christopher Benoit and his wife Lisa of Cumberland, her sister Debra Blier of Morgan, VT and her grandchildren Kyle and Emily Benoit.
Edmund P. Sarnosky
WOONSOCKET- Edmund P. Sarnosky, of Fourth Ave., died Friday, December 16, 2011 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Arlene M. (Rivard) Sarnosky whom he married June 28, 1952.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late John C. and Lena (Slatkavitz) Sarnosky.

Gerald E. Thiebault
DANIELSON, CT- Gerald E. Thiebault, 61, of Danielson, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Shirley A. (Rousseau) Thiebault; and four stepchildren, Robert, James, Melissa and Kelly Abram.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI, a son of Edward and Gertrude (Durand) Thiebault.
He graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1968 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College in North Smithfield, RI.

Helen G. Carpenter
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Helen G. (Wilson) Carpenter, 94, of Farnum Pike, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Norris O. Carpenter, Sr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie (Wright) Wilson.
Mrs. Carpenter worked as an assembler for Amperex No. Smithfield, retiring in 1975. She was previously employed by several other local textile mills. A lifelong member of Primrose Grange #9, Helen enjoyed reading, crocheting and embroidery.

Ferschke
LISBON, NH- Nancy V. (Cullerton) Ferschke, 62, of Lisbon, NH passed away on Sunday December 11th in Littleton Regional Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Marc L. Ferschke whom she married on August 30, 1986.
Born September 26, 1949 in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late James and Rita Cullerton.
Nancy was employed as a production planner at Tech Industries in Woonsocket, RI for 23 years before retiring to the North Country of New Hampshire. Prior to that, she was a nurse's aide. She was a 1967 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Peter L. Tariela
BURRILLVILLE- Peter L. Tariela, 83, formerly of Narragansett, RI died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Bayberry Commons, Burrillville.
Born in North Brookfield, MA, he was the son of the late Peter L. and Mabel (Sargentelli) Tariela, Sr.
He worked twenty-five years for the Raytheon Company, retiring as a Quality Inspector. A WWII Army Air Force Sergeant Veteran, he was a pilot who enjoyed his time flying, playing his guitar and painting.
Fernel M. Pinocci
MELBOURNE, FL- Fernel M. Pinocci, 100, passed peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Life Care Center of Melbourne.
Born in Springfield, MA, May 2, 1911, a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Bessie Grissim Koger.
She married Joseph A. Pinocci, Sr. in 1937, they were together for 48 years until his death in 1984.
