EASTHAM, MASS -- Norina Anna Fiora (Pierannunzi) Gavasso, 73, of Samoset Rd. Died peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2012, at home with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of Roy Gavasso.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Francis and Florida (Rotatori) Pierannunzi.
Norina was a 1956 graduate of Bellingham High School graduating with High Honors.
Arthur J. Clavio
BURRILLVILLE- Arthur J. Clavio 84, resident of Pascoag, died October 21, 2012 at the Overlook Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Providence RI, a son of the late Thomas & Eva (Grenier) Clavio.
Arthur worked for the School House Candy in Pawtucket; he was a veteran of Korea.
He is survived by his sister, Maria Bradford, nieces, Maria Onyan, and Elizabeth Steele, nephews, Neil and Albert Stilson.
He was the brother of the late Theresa Stilson.
WOONSOCKET- Antonio Haddad, 95, of Wood Ave. died Monday October 22, 2012, in the Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Center, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Lillian Benetti.
Tony and Lillian celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this passed September.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Abdo and Hysna (Kaboz) Haddad.
He worked as a Shipper for several textile mills in the area.
Besides his wife Lillian he is survived by one brother John Haddad of Woonsocket and several nieces and nephews.
Germain J. Dufresne
NO. SMITHFIELD- Germain J. Dufresne 96, died Monday at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Therese (Bergeron) Dufresne.
Born in St. Phillip, P Q Canada, he was a son of the late Joseph and Marie-Anne (Frechette) Dufresne.
Mr. Dufresne was a textile worker for the Branch River Woolen Company for twenty seven years before retiring in 1972. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a former member of the Parkview Club.
Romeo G. Ethier
MILLVILLE, MA- Romeo G. Ethier, 77, of Thayer St., died October 21, 2012 at home with his family. He was the husband of Mary Jean (Couture) Ethier.
Born in Millville, MA he was the son of the late Mederic and Cora (Gagnon) Ethier. He was a resident of Millville since 1970.
Roger J. Dwyer
LINCOLN- Roger J. Dwyer of Lincoln passed away Monday October 22, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Anna Frances (Heslin) Dwyer.
Born on September 20, 1925, he was the son of the late Roger and Anna (Dowling) Dwyer.
Roger was a 1943 graduate of Woonsocket High School and 1946 graduate of Providence College. He was a recipient of the Madeline Daly Savaria Trophy as an outstanding athlete at Woonsocket High School and was member of the PC basketball team for 2 years.
Eugene J. Picard Jr.
CUMBERLAND- Eugene J. Picard Jr., 57, formerly of Cumberland, died October 9th.
Born in Pawtucket he was a son the late Eugene J. and Theresa (Carpenter) Picard Bozzo.
Mr. Picard was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.
His brother Robert J. Picard and his wife Kimberly of Johnston, his sisters Cynthia M. Colannino of Three Rivers, MA and Deborah A. Connors of Warwick, his nieces Meaghan E. Colannino, Abigail L. Gilbert, Lauryn T. Picard and Brooke E. Picard survive him.
WOONSOCKET- Rolande R. "Ronnie" (Sene) Lamoureux, 91, of Woonsocket, went lovingly to her Lord on Wednesday, October 17th at the Holiday Nursing Home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lucien G. Lamoureux Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Elyda (Bouvier) Sene. She resided in Woonsocket all her life, was a homemaker for many years and also worked at many of the area mills including Frenchtex and Murray Worsted.
Georgette S. Vallee
BLACKSTONE- Georgette S. "Gigi" (Bernier) Vallee, 72, of Blackstone, MA passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Millbury Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymnd R. Vallee.
Born in Blackstone, MA on October 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Olea (Lemay) Bernier.
Roger V. Chartier
WOONSOCKET- Roger V. Chartier 77, of Clinton St. died Friday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Leduc) Chartier, and is survived by his wife Therese (Houle) Chartier.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Andrew and Rose Alma (Allard) Chartier.
Mr. Chartier was a machine mechanic at the Foxboro Co. as well as many area textile mills before retiring in 1997. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.
