Betty J. Desjardins
PINEHURST, NC- Betty J. Desjardins, 84 of Pinehurst, NC died August 29, 2012 at her residence.
Inurnment will be held by the family at Pinelawn Memorial Park at a future date.
Born in Chicago, IL to the late Jesse and Elizabeth Fauth Bauer, she graduated from George Rogers Clark High School in Hammond, Ind. She married her husband Robert on January 14, 1967 in Honolulu, HI., and traveled extensively abroad with him during a 28 year military career. A staunch Republican, she held many state level positions in the Hawaii Republican Party.

Lucien A. Dansereau
WOONSOCKET- Lucien A. Dansereau, 87, of Mendon Rd., died peacefully on August 29, 2012 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Doris (Brissette) Dansereau of Woonsocket, whom he married May 21, 1949.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Henri and Matilde (Lapierre) Dansereau.

BELLINGHAM- Bernard R. Cyr, 68, of Bellingham passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 40 years of Muriel S. (Tessier) Cyr.
Born in Woonsocket on March 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Robert J. and Florence (Boisvert) Cyr and step-son of the late Lillian (Blais) Cyr and Doris )Lataille Cyr.

Francis "Frank"
A. Borek
MILLVILLE- Francis (Frank) Andrew Borek, a lifelong resident of Millville, MA., died at Beaumont Nursing Home in Northbridge, MA. on August 22, 2012 at the age of 93.
Frank was born on January 13, 1919, the son of Joseph and Mary (Bozek) Borek.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Jennie (Stanley) Borek, his beloved children, John of Millville, Gail of Boston, and Michael and his wife Deborah of Colorodo, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew.
Timothy C. Riley
SIERRA MADRE, CALIFORNIA- Timothy C. Riley of Sierra Madre, California passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2012.
He was the loving father of Fiona 23 and Kelsey 21.
Born in Woonsocket, RI in 1957, the son of Dorothy M. Riley and the late John V. Riley.
He was a graduate of Blackstone Millville Regional High School, a suma cum laude graduate of Bentley College and a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law.

Claire Duhamel
WOONSOCKET- Claire (Arel) Duhamel 81, died Friday, August 24, 2012. She was the wife of Raymond Duhamel, with whom she celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary May 30, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, April 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Ephrem and Mary-Anne (Dutil) Arel.
Claire worked in the accounting department at Marquette Credit Union for twenty years before retiring. She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress. Claire and Ray were avid ballroom dancers and spent most Saturday nights on the dance floor at several area dance venues.
Louis W. Lefebvre
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Louis W. Lefebvre, 84, of Woonsocket and formerly of North Smithfield passed away on August 22, 2012, at Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket.
A son of Louis and Aurea (Bussiere) Lefebvre, he was born in Woonsocket.
Louis worked for Uniroyal and at Crosby Valve in Wrentham, MA, for many years. Honorably, he was a Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Roger McNamara
LINCOLN- Roger "Owen" McNamara, 81, of Lincoln, formerly of Herkimer, NY, died August 22, 2012 in the St. Camillus Health Center, Northbridge.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Timothy and Helen F. (Collins) McNamara.
Owen was a 1955 graduate of Boston University and a 1958 graduate of Kent State. He was an English professor for 30 years at Herkimer County Community College, retiring in 1994. Owen traveled extensively and was an avid biker and runner.
Pauline G. Rose
CUMBERLAND- Pauline G. Rose, 75 of 1 Flat Street, Cumberland, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012. She was the wife of the late Donald "Gus" Rose.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Florence (Bouchard) Jones. Pauline retired from the former Carties Health Center where she was a CNA.
Hirondina Lemire
SLATERSVILLE- Hirondina "Olida" (Souza) Lemire, 92, of Slatersville, died August 23, 2012 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Raymond E. Lemire.
Born in Slatersville, RI, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Sophie (Medeiros) Souza.
Mrs. Lemire was a tester at the former Amperex Company for 20 years, retiring in 1982 and had previously worked at Slatersville Finishing for 10 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Ladies Guild.
