Desaulniers
WOONSOCKET- Lucille A. (Plasse) (Morin) Desaulniers, 85, of St. Paul St. North Smithfield, died Monday morning at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Gerard L. Morin and George A. Desaulniers.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Edouard and Laura (Jacob) Plasse. She resided in Woonsocket for most of her life and also lived in Cumberland and later in North Smithfield.
Mrs. Desaulniers was employed as a seamstress at several area firms and also worked at the former McCarthy's Department Store and later at Save Rite.
Gloria L. Provencal
LINCOLN- Gloria L. (Beaudry) Provencal, of 2 School St., Lincoln, RI and Deerfield Beach, FL died peacefully Friday, January 6, 2012 surrounded by her children. She was the beloved wife of the late Normand J. Provencal.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Eva (Dubois) Beaudry.

Beverly A. Taft
NORTH ATTLEBORO- Beverly A. (Long) Taft, 73, of Oakhurst Street, North Attleboro, died on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late George C. Taft who died on February 14, 2008.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 13, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel I. (Mills) Hughes.
Raised and educated in Boston, Mrs. Taft was a graduate of the former Girls High School of Boston.
She resided in North Attleboro since 1991 having previously resided in Norfolk, Franklin and Medway.
Richard D. Marks
BURRILLVILLE- Richard D. Marks, 56, of Pascoag Main St. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center.
He was born in Providence, a son of Thomas Marks of Harrisville, and the late Mary (Drainville) Marks. .Richard was a mason tender for Major Masonry Inc. He was a member of the Local 271 Laborers Union for over ten years. Richard was an avid sports fan since childhood and could recite many statistics for the Red Sox and Patriots. Richard graduated with the class of 1974 at North Smithfield Junior Senior High School.
Vivienne L. Belisle
WOONSOCKET- Vivienne L. Belisle, 90, of Poplar St., died Sunday, January 8, 2012 in Woonsocket Health & Rehabilitation Centre.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Velma (Normandin) Belisle.
Vivienne worked as a Bookeeper for Union St. Jean Baptiste for twenty years, retiring in 1986. She was previously employed by the former Najarians Dept. Store, Daniels Tobacco and Brooks Pharmacy, all in Woonsocket.
Jeffrey P. Corkins
WARWICK- Jeffrey P. Corkins, 45, of Warwick, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of John L. and Marlene A. (McDevitt) Corkins of Woonsocket.
Mr. Corkins was a graduate of Ocean Tides High School in Narragansett. He worked in real estate. As an organ donor, two people have regained their sight.
Denis M. Abbate
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Abbate, Denis M., 61, a resident of North Smithfield since 1979, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Hazard) Abbate.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of Claire (Fleurant) Abbate and the late Rocco S. Abbate.
BURRILLVILLE- Arthur J. Houle, 89, died Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 in Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. He was the Husband of Ellen M. (Simpson) Houle whom he married Oct. 4, 1947. Born in Pascoag he was the son of the late Amedee and Malvina (Secord) Houle.
Arthur worked in area Textile Mills before becoming a Postal Employee at the Pascoag Post Office. He was an ARMY Veteran of WWII. A member of VFW post #1023, member of Burrillville Twilight Golf League and a Coach & Umpire for the Burrillville Little League.
WOONSOCKET- Roger R. Mandeville, 90, of Oakland Grove Health Care Center died Friday, January 6, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Eva (Archambeault) Mandeville and the late Mary (Cronan) Mandeville. Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marie Mandeville.
Roger worked as an accountant for the Woonsocket Housing Authority for thirty three years, retiring in 1984. An Army veteran, Roger served in WWII. He had also been a member of Club Marquette.
