Alma A. Castonguay
LINCOLN- Alma A. Castonguay, 95, of Sayles Hill Road, died Wednesday, December 26, at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in New Bedford, Mass., a daughter of the late Euclide and Eva (Holcomb) Castonguay, she had lived in Woonsocket, Manville, and Cumberland, before moving back to Manville.
Miss Castonguay worked as a stitcher for U. S. Rubber in Woonsocket, and later as an inspector at American Tourister in Albion and Woonsocket, before retiring in 1969.
She was a communicant of Saint James Church, Manville.
Gary M. Hebert
CUMBERLAND- Gary (The King) Hebert, 55, of Pine Swamp Rd. went to Heaven on Tuesday morning January 1, 2013 with his wife, daughters and grandchildren by his side. He was the beloved husband of Charlene G. (Tellier) Hebert.
Born in Central Falls, R.I., son of Theresa Hebert of Blackstone, MA. and the late Albert Hebert.
He worked as a roofer for Design Ventures prior to becoming disabled.
Gary enjoyed classical cars, once owning a 55 Buick, woodworking, but most of all spending time with his family and friends making them laugh.
Victoria E. Jacks
CLERMONT, FL.- Mrs. Victoria E. (Grzych) Jacks of 4310 Hammersmith Dr., Clermont, FL., formerly of 100 So. Main St. Bellingham passed away of pneumonia on December 12, 2012 at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee.
She resided with her daughter in Florida for over sixteen years before moving to Lake Bennett Rehab Center. She was the wife of the late Clinton S. Jacks, who was well known in local aviation circles. Clinton and Victoria enjoyed many flying trips in their Taylorcraft around New England and to the islands.
WOONSOCKET- Richard V. Saillant Sr. 61, of Rodman St. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Diane (LaCasse) Saillant.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Theodore and Theresa (Kemp) Saillant.
Richard worked for the City of Woonsocket in the Parks and Recreation Department for many years before retiring in 2007. He had previously worked for Owen's Corning for several years. Richard loved his cats and fed many strays.
Aurea L. Vilandre
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Aurea L. Vilandre 89, formerly of Greenville, Rd., died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Lionel Vilandre.
Born in Manville, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Bertha (Boss) Martin. Mrs. Vilandre was an assembler for Reliance Products for many years before retiring in 1985.
